Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does it's job then leaves Really helps see drift. Be sure to wear nitrile gloves because just a drop of this stuff will turn your hands blue for a few days. It is intended to mark where product has been applied, not to permanently color something so it fades in a few days outside, which is just what I want.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money and time. I bought this product from the local Tractor Supply and was disappointed like most of the other reviews. I started out with the recommend ratio and couldn’t tell heads or tails where I had sprayed in the field. I doubled, then tripled and finally poured the rest of the bottle in the 15 gallon tank. Still no path to follow. My guess is that in order for this dye to work a surfactant “Soap” must be added? 15 miles out in the country this wasn’t a viable option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont bother Made a huge mess, lid would not seal. You have to use too much to be able to see where you sprayed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real Review I purchased this for use with a herbicide. This was the only spray indicator I could find locally. I hesitated to buy this after reading the reviews but didn’t want to wait 2-3 days for it to be delivered if I ordered because it would have arrived after the weekend. I figured I would take a chance and go for it. I mixed a little extra in the first tank because reviewers said was hard to see. This wasn’t the case for me, I was able to see it perfectly. I mixed as directed for all subsequent tanks and it was fine. After using it, I went back and read all the reviews again. It’s obvious that at least two of the reviewers mixed the concentrate too light. 6oz for 40 gallons? Seriously, read the directions! Another reviewer mentioned they mixed as directed but again mentioned they used the whole bottle for 40 gallons, which is completely wrong. I could clearly see everywhere I sprayed and where I had missed. It was clearly visible for a couple days after I sprayed it. I over-sprayed about 6 inches of my concrete driveway because I wanted to make sure I got all the weeds. It disappeared completely within a few days. I also spilled some of the concentrate on a concrete walkway which I washed off with a hose as quickly as possible. It left a faint stain which also disappeared completely within a few days. I also got some on my hands which stained as expected and disappeared completely after washing my hands a few times. This stuff made this chore much easier. I will use this again and suggest you use it too. Just make sure you read the directions and mix the appropriate ratio of concentrate, water and product. You won’t be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works if you follow the directions I purchased this about three weeks ago. I am killing off an area where my old pool was to replace with a new one. Since its a 22 foot round area, to be sure I sprayed the existing weeds and grass I wanted a colorant. This works good. 6 ounces in a 2 gallon sprayer with my grass and weed killer and we were on the fly. the color was good to see my outline markings for the new pool area. it helped when having to refill the sprayer as i now can see where I stopped. I thought my weed and grass killer was not working but after a few days of rain my grass dies and the colorant wore off. "ATTENTION" you need to wear gloves with this colorant. It will stain your hands and not quite so easy to clean off. you needed marked.complete the task Some spilled onto my sprayer handles and made a mess of my hands. But a finger nail scrub brush and some GOJO pumice hand cleaner and a little time and it does come off. The color does wear off in a few days so be wary when you spray for whatever reason, to complete the task you had in mind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from waste of money and time Bought this to use on a smaller spray to keep up with sprayer path. Looked great in the tank but as it sprayed out could not even determine where we had been and where not. DO NOT waste your time or money on it. Even mixed it at a higher concentration then recommended and did not work. The top leaks like a water hose and gets on everything

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works. Some reviews state it is difficult to see so doesn't work well as a marker. No, it isn't day-glo. You may have to put a little effort into determining whether or not something has been sprayed. But you can tell. I was using 6 oz in a 15 gallon sprayer, so at the upper end of the recommended level. Some have indicated that it took a very long time to get the dye off their skin. Because the packaging - at least the bottle I got - would have been better if it came in only a zip-top bag - I got straight dye on my hands and arms. Pretty much undetectable the next day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks and color is weak I used this with an herbicide and surfactant using the herbicide mixing instructions. I could see the plants that I sprayed for about an hour then the color faded. So I used more of the product to improve the dye marker. Same result. This is an expensive product to waste. I've used two bottles so far and both leaked BADLY from the flip top. You're supposed to shake the bottle well before using, which is a disaster because of the leaky lid. That's a messy and expensive problem. I used work clothes when spraying but it still left a blue hue after washing. Not a big deal because I planned for that to happen, but fyi.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from At least the grass was wet I mixed 6-8 ounces per 31 gallons of water and LV400. Although staining my hands, it looked nice in my trailer spray. My hopes were up when I first turned it on and saw the nice blue color. Once in the yard, my excitement quickly vanished. The only time I could see the blue color was when I sprayed over some white weeds. Other than that, it wasn't noticeable unless I strained to look for it. I relied more-so on my tire prints and gauged my spacing that way. One positive was that the spray coming out of the nozzles was easier to see than without the blue indicator added. When I went to clean up, the bottle cap would not close tightly. It leaked at the threads. I even added some good plastic wrap which normally solves this problem, and no luck. Be careful when transporting. it will go everywhere, including finding the smallest pinhole in a new zip-top bag. I'm happy I tried it, but have no intention to purchase again even if it was half the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the money. I have been buying spray indicator from another farm store for years.I was used to the really blue concentration and need the blue color to mark where I have been. We have a new Tractor Supply in our town and decided to keep it local! I used the recommended amount and was 50 ft. from the house and came back and added more. Same thing. I tripled the amount of dye and went through two bottles. Pretty expensive stuff to waste!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product You can definitely see where you have sprayed even if you do a little under the suggested amount. Wore raw hide work gloves and this went threw them. Not a complaint it is a compliment on how well the stuff works.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't See it on Green Grass Followed the recommended spray to indicator ratio instructions for a 30 gal Roundip water solution. Could see the blue indicator on the grass when the spray was 1st laid down. But by the time I came back for the next pass the indicator color had vanished. Next batch of spray solution I doubled the indicator ratio. Same result. Maybe it just doesn't work with a Roundup solution. Would not recommend, especially at the price being sold at.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth the cost Bought this to spray with some Milestone weed killer. Used a 15 gallon sprayer with a 2 nozzle boom. Mixed per directions for the first 2 tanks. It looks like it should work. Splashes on the work bench are stained blue. Hands are stained blue. Water is colored blue. Looks blue coming out of the spray tips. Test area on concrete driveway shows blue indicator. One tank spraying fence lines with hand sprayer and I can see blue on the dirt, but not on the plants. Another tank spraying open area with the boom in the middle of the day with bright sun. Down and back paths and I could see moisture on the stems but could not see enough color to tell where the edges were. Doubled the recommended strength and still could not see a defining line. Speed up, Slow down and it didn't do any better. Went back to the old method of spacing from my last tire tracks. FIND A DIFFERENT PRODUCT!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money Bought this to help lay down 2,4 D on a sports field at just over 1 acre. Used a 25 gallon sprayer with a 3 nozzle boom. The only thing this stuff did was due my hands when it spilled on me while I was removing the top seal. Initially did 2 passes with the recommended mixture without any noticeable indicator. Added the entire bottle to the tank and then had to still guess on my covered areas. At no time did a blue colors ever appear on the ground. Looked blue coming out of the nozzles but that's it. No indication on the ground. Drove as slow as I could with my JD gator during the application. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A MUST if you spray large areas I've been using this product for about 10 years. I have 1.6 acres (in FL), 1/4 of which are areas where I want to control weed growth...bark paths, fence lines, 4' wide perimeter planting beds, etc. I usually spray for weeds 3 times a year, May-Jan. Discovering Dynamark at Tractor Supply 10 years ago, has made the job so much EASIER! No more guessing where I've already sprayed. Awesome stuff! And I stains EVERYTHING it touches. However, in sunny areas, it fades away in less than a week. Shady areas take longer, but it DOES fade away. eventually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It improves coverage and eliminates overlap This lets you see exactly where you sprayed, and how heavily an area is covered. Eliminates missed areas and double-spray, thus saving money on chemical and not burning or striping with double application. I always use indicator when spraying. I know of no other way to assure even and complete coverage. Be careful when spraying near buildings as porous materials will soak up the dye and then it takes a long time to go away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant Product Really helps when spraying large areas! Lets you see your coverage rate and where you left off when you have to stop to refill your tank or when jobs are too big to accomplish in one day.

Can I spray this on grapes so I know where i applied sulfur treatment for powdery mildew? Would it be considered food grade? How long until color fades to avoid dye in wine?

Asked by: Cooland
Yes this may be sprayed on or around grapes. The fade time will depend on the rainfall, so it is hard to determine.
