Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heats 2 Car Garage with no problems. Bought this as a step-up from a portable electric heater. It was very difficult to get it to started, but as stated, the air needs to be purged out of the line/valve. It may take15-25 tries. Keep your eye on the pilot area and it will slowly show a puff of flame when you're getting close to it being purged. It will light easier after the initial start. Hope this helps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't light I bought on a whim. (should have read reviews first) Pilot won't stay lit. (Same problem as numerous other people on other sites) Tried new 1lb bottle and full 20lb tank. Returned for refund.

How long does a tank of gas last ?

Asked by: Jerome1
Hello Jerome1, The average propane tank has the capacity to provide 21,514 BTUs per pound of LP. On high, this heater will produce 10,000 BTUs, approximately half a pound of LP per hour. The amount of time a tank will last depends on the size of the tank you use, 1 LB or 20 LB, the conditions you are using the heater in and the heat setting you use. -GHP Group Customer Support

dyna-glo heat around 360 7500-10,000 btu. I put hose and 20lb tank on. can't get it to start. put propane bottle on and it starts up. What could be wrong?

Asked by: fido 69
Hello Fido 69, line has to be purged before you can start this heater. The line is longer when you attach a hose, so it will take longer to purge the air out of the line when you use a 20 Ib propane tank instead of a 1 Ib bottle. Try holding down control knob in the pilot position while repeating the igniting operation until the air is removed. If you need additional information or assistance, we're happy to help!
