Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but gone quick I bought this because the percentages were a little higher than the competitor. My two horses loved it!! But it’s 2.5x the price, 33lb vs. 50 lb and is softer so it only lasted 4 days (inside barn in a tub).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I keep one at all times for him. He goes through it in about 6 days. He is healthy and he has a lot more energy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horses Love These Blocks! My horses love these blocks. Some mineral blocks they won't touch, but the minute I throw these in the pasture, they are all over them. As far as nutritional value goes, I can't really speak to that, but the horses definitely think they are a treat!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't WASTE your money! Taking off cellophane wrapping it was already crumbling apart! Completely crumbled apart in less than 1/2 day with very little licking from horses. NOT a good product! Manager of store advised me to bring PIECES back for refund.

Can my horses overeat this block? I put one out Saturday morning and by Sunday the whole thing was gone. I have 1 pony and 4 miniature horses. Then on Sunday they would not really eat much hay.

Asked by: Bev Shepherd
Yes, horses can overconsume the block. If they are overconsuming then it is best to limit the time the block is in the field. Average Adult Horses (1000 lbs) are expected to consume 5 lbs per day. The average pony weight is around 500 lbs and a mini averages 200 to 250. Your animals should be consuming approximately 6.5 lbs per day approximately. You really need to take the block out for a period of time each day to correct this issue.

can you feed Dumor horse block to pregnant mares?

Asked by: SNG1
It is safe for a mare in foal but I would suggest that in the last 90 days to put her on a fortified feed to help get her ready to foal and nurse.
