Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beware, molds quickly Horrible food, molds very fast, bags on the shelf in store are hot as feed ferments.
Date published: 2019-11-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horses and mules I have been using this type and brand for several years. And our horses, old and young and mules do very well on it
Date published: 2019-11-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to substitute This is my go to feed when I am unable to make it to the local feed mill. No issues with my equines. The only reason I don’t feed it all the time is that my local feed mill is cheaper & needless to say, fresher.

Is there alfalfa in this feed? Also is this feed manufactured in a separate facility than cattle feed? I am concerned about contamination from cattle feed.

Asked by: hair
Alfalfa can be used in this product, but may not be added to every batch. All horse feeds we produce are made on ionophore-free manufacturing systems.

What's the feeding rate?

Asked by: Peanut88
Feeding rates will vary with size, age, temperament, health status, climate, forage quality and activity level. Animals on low feeding rates should be offered a good quality vitamin/mineral supplement. Always take five to seven days to gradually transition animals to new feeds. Forage should be of good quality. Always provide free-choice salt and plenty of fresh, clean water at a temperature above 45 degrees F. Maintain an effective control program for internal parasites. Be sure horses are free of dental problems. Prevent the rapid eating by the horse of any feed stuff. Observe your animal's condition daily. Consult your veterinarian if any problems arise. Please check your email for the feed tag which has a feeding rate recommendation.

is this manufacturer the maker of cattle feed as well ???

Asked by: sherimat
We do manufacture cattle feed as well as all types of feed. Our horse feed plants do not have any ionophores in the plant nor do the plants share lines with any cattle feed in the horse feed plants. All manufacturing of cattle feed is in separate plants from the cattle feed.
