Can you email me a copy of the tag...and going by some of the answers I've seen, can you tell me which region this tag is for? I'm looking an accurate tag for the Southeast.

What is in Dumor Equestages? I feed horses, donkey and goats and wondering if corn is in it and what else

Asked by: CarolynK
A complete feed tab has been e-mailed. Please note that this is only recommended for horses. If the horse has a condition that warrants having a low starch & sugar, then we recommend purchasing one that guarantees a certain concentration. Sugar and starch are going to vary from plant to plant with differences not only in ingredients, between ingredient batches, but also with seasonal changes in use of processed molasses.

What is the pound to quart conversion on this feed?

Asked by: DianaBee
Weighing is always recommended. The density of the product can vary from batch to batch during production and weighing is the only way to ensure the mixture is correct. An estimate is 1-25-1.33lbs/quart, but this method can be inaccurate.

I have the same question as Han95! Sugar, starch and fiber content please!

Asked by: horseluvr55
If you have a horse with a condition that warrants having a low sugar/starch feed, then please purchase a feed that guarantees a certain concentration. It should have a listing that states the Maximum, such as Crude Fiber (MAX) 18%. Sugar/starch is going to vary from plant to plant with differences not only in ingredients but also between ingredient batches. In addition, it will vary with seasonal changes in the use of processed molasses. The sugar/starch content in this product cannot be guaranteed but it will average around 18%.

My horse has cushings.  I have been using Equistages for about 3 years now.  Is this the best option for her or is there a better feed for her?  Thank you.

Asked by: Jerseygirl856
Equistages is high for a horse with Cushings. It is 24% sugar and starch which is considered low but it is on the high end of low. Anything under 30% is considered low sugar and starch. I would suggest switching to Purina WellSolve LS that is 11% sugar and starch.

Is there an ingredient label anywhere showing what sugars/ starches, fibers, etc. are in this feed. Looking to see how much sugar is In it because of a behavioral issue with my mare. thanks

Asked by: han95
The Feed Tag will be e-mailed. It is recommended that a feed is used that guarantees a maximum Sugar/Starch content if the animal requires that kind of care.
