What is your recommendation for how much feed to feed broiler chickens? Should they stay on this till they are ready to kill?

Asked by: Mom2three
You would feed them free choice. They need feed in front of the chickens at all times until you harvest them.

How long would one bag last if feeding 4 chicks?

Asked by: vcg1705
Four chicks will consume approximately 60 lbs. from hatch to 18 weeks of age. This is an average. There is no real hard and fast number. We recommend feeding free choice.

Is the corn in the chick starter and starter grower is tested for vomitoxin? I have been using this feed for several years and just last year had poor results that lead to the death of 1/8 of my flock I was feeding this to. fecal test came back clean.

Asked by: Leebug
We do test for mycotoxin contamination. Vomitoxin is a mycotoxin. We have limits established for what is allowed in the ingredients. Anything that tests above that level is not allowed into our plant.
