Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our chickens love it! Our chickens eat right up! We started them on it when they were chicks and will keep them in it a few more weeks and then drop our protein % a bit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Budget Chick Feed This feed is the cheapest option so for a farm on a budget it is a must. We wish the crumbles were a little smaller. We have to put the feed in a blender when the chicks are a few days old so that it is easier for them to eat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High protein name brand, good enough for Cornish's Can't find Purina meat bird crumbles so I use this

Please post a picture of the back of the bag. It has information about ingredients as well as a helpful chart on which feed to buy for specific ages of poultry. It is not posted anywhere else online yet; I searched high and low.

Do I need to get grit for my new chicks, if feeding this particular feed?

Asked by: AndreaRoz
No, your chicks do not need grit added to their diet with this product. As a general rule, grit should be offered to birds that are eating anything other than a commercial diet, including any scratch grains or table scraps.

What is your recommendation for how much feed to feed broiler chickens? Should they stay on this till they are ready to kill?

Asked by: Mom2three
You would feed them free choice. They need feed in front of the chickens at all times until you harvest them.

Can ducklings eat this? The associate at the store told me they could. My ducks are 2 weeks old and are becoming really bow-legged (niacin deficit???). I want to know if I need to change their feed or is this okay.

Asked by: Saomkinar
Feed as sole ration as a starter/grower diet to chickens, ducks and geese 0 to 10 weeks of age. Feed as sole ration as a grower diet for: turkey, quail, pheasant and chukar 6 to 12 weeks of age. This product meets Niacin requirement for ducks which is 55 ppm. It is recommended to consult with your veterinarian to see if this would be a good diet for the animal and their specific medical conditions.

How long would one bag last if feeding 4 chicks?

Asked by: vcg1705
Four chicks will consume approximately 60 lbs. from hatch to 18 weeks of age. This is an average. There is no real hard and fast number. We recommend feeding free choice.
