Dirty Hand Tools 5-Ton Electric Horizontal Log Splitter is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from the Handles brake constantly ... The pressure from the logs, spread the "Handles" or hollow pipes which act as legs at the anvil and constantly break apart the two hollow pipes that are to hold the logs being split. I've repaired the pipes or legs first with screws. Then when it broke the screws, I tapped it out to use much larger screws. Then when they broke, I drilled through to pass a large piece of threaded rod and washers with nuts. This has worked the best so far. The biggest draw back with this is at the very bottom, which act as "handles" to push the splitter around in the upright position; I had to put a 4 inch piece of 2 x 4 to keep the hollow pipes from pushing together from the force of logs moving above to "be split." As they push out on the top of the hollow pipes there is a equal and opposite reaction on the bottom of the pipes moving them in; and left uncheck, the whole log splitter will fall over. Very BAD...….

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy We bought this to replace a hand pump hydraulic splitter. Fairly pleased. Wish it could handle thicker logs, but I would say it operates as described.
