Everyone would like to have butterflies and hummingbirds frequent their gardens. For this reason, butterfly and hummingbird gardening has become one of the most popular hobbies today. What could bring more joy than a beautiful butterfly fluttering around your garden? If you want to attract butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden or provide protection for them, these great plants can do it all! This case pack includes orange trumpet creeper (3 plants) and wisteria (3 plants). Orange trumpet creeper is an attractive woody, clinging vine with clusters of spectacular orange, trumpet-shaped flowers (to 3 in. long) that appear throughout the summer. Orange trumpet creeper rapidly grows 30-50 ft. high. It produces compound, odd-pinnate leaves (to 15 in. long) which are shiny green above and smooth below. This is a good vine for hot, dry sites and needs lots of room to grow. Wisteria is probably one of the best-loved climbing plants. It is a beautiful, deciduous vine that grows vigorously to 30 ft. or more and features 6-12 in. long racemes of mildly-fragrant, pea-like, blue-violet flowers in May when the foliage is just beginning to expand. Flowers are held in grape-like clusters and bloom somewhat simultaneously on the racemes thus producing a dramatic floral display. Wisteria may also be trained as a specimen shrub or tree.

  • Over time, the stems of this vine become twisted, trunk-like and massive
  • These vines are excellent for large, sturdy, freestanding arbors, pergolas, posts, trellises, fences or terrace walls, and can be particularly effective when grown near or above patios where the flowers can be enjoyed in season
