Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helpful I recently purchased this product and have securely applied it over the hedges which I have been concerned about. A bit too soon to determine overall effect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worked perfectly Worked perfectly but be aware the picture in incorrect. It is a 7 foot long roll of the netting and not a small square package.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looked like a great idea I bought this hoping it would keep the pesky deer away from some fruit trees. Put it up on Saturday, four days later the deer went right through it in two places. This is even after I sprayed the trees with deterrents.Did not work for me other critters may be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for price I brought this a month ago and finally got to use it. Im using on the top of my chicken coop so my chickens cant fly out and on the sides next to some chicken wire. It is thin but but does a great job for what im using it for plan on buying more and putting it around my yard around the fence. Would recommend for Gardens as well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is really good stuff! We put this netting around our garden to keep out the deer. It works great - except when my son's huge dogs are here and want to come visit you when you are working in the garden - they went right through it! It is very strong, though, and I would recommend it to keep out deer and other critters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Brought this about 3 weeks ago and immediately put it up. It is relatively strong, well packaged and sure seems to be doing what it is intended to do. I used mine to extend my regulate 4 ft field fencing up an additional 3 ft... PLUS 4 ft vertically to act as a block to keep my rabbits and chickens separated from my goats. The way I have it set up.. my vertical fence is now 7.5 ft tall and the extra 3 ft of this deer (bird) fencing serves to keep the predators away. I also strung some fishing line to keep the chicken hawks at bay. The only WORK was welding a three-four foot piece of rebar to all my T pasts to give me a 7 + ft high wall. The goats don't seem to mess with the deer (Bird) netting... so they too don't try to jump over the fence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deer X Have used this for several years to protect my garden and now will use it as bird netting for my Chicken Pen to keep them safe from flying predators.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from use wiely Its cheap for what it is and if used wisely can yield benefits fro anyone looking to exclude deer. They have poor depth perception and cannot judge distance well. A fence like this setup in DOUBLE FENCE SYSTEM will cheaply and effectively do the job, but, and this is a big but, you can not place a fence system like this anywhere without understanding Deer. Deer are intelligent, well sensed creatures that are always weighing the pros and cons of a place to feed. But their eyes are set to the side of their head to scan for predators which can limit theier ability to check depth. If two of these nets are are set 3-4 feet apart, it will be difficult for Deer to determine the landing area. Is the risk worth it for the deer. Most of the time, no. But as a prey animal there may be times when flight response will overpower their concern for broken ankles. In such a case, this would not stop such an incursion. This is a lightweight, tall mesh fence that will act as a physiological to isolate feeding deer from specific areas. This is not a welding wire fence that will hold a hog. One must be smart about placement. Do not place across known deer trails without providing some physical barrier. Log/brush piles, something that will make the deer say, "Im going around, not over or under." Don't place a fence like this without exit routes for wildlife. Don't fence the whole property at the same time. Let the deer know something is there and give them some time. Improve the visibility of the fencing by using streamers or other reflective materials tied to both of the DOUBLE FENCES. Its cheap, comparatively. Do a cost benefit of this vs. another full proof deer fence system. Throw in some t-posts and you can't beat this for value. Sure, you may have to replace sections of the netting over its life time but its a cheap, easy way to keep deer out of areas*. *see google for DOUBLE DEER FENCE!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless product We used Deer-X netting to individually surround and protect thirty 2-3 ft. tall pine and spruce trees planted last spring. Each piece of 7-ft. netting was supported by three steel posts placed triangularly around each tree. The netting was up less than two weeks before deer decimated the netting (it tears very easily) and carried much of it off tangled in their antlers. Don't buy this product. You will be much happier giving your money to a favorite charity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Flimsy This product has protected our garden all summer after the first incident when a startled doe broke right thru it. She has not returned. However, I used it to fence in chickens and fence out ducks, and it proved too flimsy. Both ducks and chickens were eventually able to break and tear thru it. As bird netting to keep birds out of fruit and veggies, its good, and Tractor Supply has the best price I could find.
