Rated 5 out of 5 by from Farm life I was very impressed at how easy unit is to set up and start. The strands lasted longer than I anticipated and it’s cutting rate is more than adequate even in dense and tall foliage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase of the season! Best purchase I have made in a long time! Had trouble holding up a regular weed walker due to health issues. This makes lawn work a breeze!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easily handles tall grass and small trees. Perfect for pasture fence lines. Takes down small trees with the tall grass and doesn't get clogged up!
Date published: 2019-07-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great trimmer Has saved so much time and effort around the farm. Starts easy. Easy to maneuver and big weeds are no problem.
Date published: 2019-07-25
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not great It’s ok for small weeds weeds much thicker tend to break cut line much faster
Date published: 2019-07-25
Rated 3 out of 5 by from awesome in the beginning Worked great for about 20 uses and then the pull start just broke off. I looked and saw that it was just plastic. I loved this thing until then. One pull start and did a great job. I have to order a new recoil? cord and plastic cover. Maybe some extra washers for support or something! Wish it was metal or made better!
Date published: 2019-07-04
Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to operate makes yard work so much easier bought other weed whackers and had nothing but trouble with them this cadet is the best thing i ever did
Date published: 2019-06-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast mode I am so happy. This the machine is a beast. I thought I would have to buy farm equipment to take care of 4 acres of weeds.. so far so good!
Date published: 2019-06-25
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Might need reinforcement This is my 3rd season using this trimmer. It will eat tall grass and weeds with ease. Easy to push and use. Usually starts on first pull. If you are not very careful it will tear up fences, gutters and plastic flower pots. Mine started eating belts this year and after putting two on that lasted one use I decided the problem was pully alignment. The front of the motor was tilted down. I bolted a piece of 3/4" unistrut underneath the deck, just in front of the motor and that leveled the motor up. Somehow the string head got tilted back too far so I straightened it. So far working well again. They should strengthen the deck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub Cade ST100 22 in Walk-Behind Trimmer We purchased this to be able to cut down the fast-growing weeds on our property. This works quite well. We have come to expect great things from the Cub Cadet series of equipment.
Date published: 2019-06-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does the job, mostly. I bought this to help tame 6 acres in the Texas Hill Country, very rocky so fixed blade mowers are not an option. I'm not actually trying to mow the entire 6 acres, just the area immediately around the house. The land has to be fairly smooth to use this, otherwise its more of a fight pushing it over rocky areas. It works great in some areas where there isn't too much rock but in other areas it's just easier to use a hand held string trimmer.
Date published: 2019-06-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meets requirements Hard to traverse tractor lugs. Replacement line need to be more rugged. Handlebar not made for over 6ft tall person such as myself. Otherwise it did the job that I needed it to do. A lot easier than weilding a had held trimmer. But would have been better if the replacement line was more rugged.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to start Mine was purchased already assembled from the store. It was semi-hard to pull the rope and start it from the very beginning. After 2 or 3 uses it was just too difficult to pull start anymore. I had a friend look at it and he found one of the sealed bearings on the trimmer line spindle had lost it's seal and was packed with dirt. He replaced the bad bearing and now it works good. I was annoyed with the quality control regarding the sealed bearings.
Date published: 2019-06-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I needed! Just what I was looking for! Everyone here is able to use it and nobody has complained about doing the weed eating!
Date published: 2019-06-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The REEPER Added oil, secured handle, added gas, started first pull. Finished 1 acre in 3 hrs. 4th use minor problem will wheel spacers. added 1/2" spacer opposite of axle keeper, moved spring washer to other side and wheels centered, no more rubbing on one side and axle spinning in deck.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard starting Had a craftsman's from years ago. Just too many things going wrong with it. Had to carry a can of starting fluid while using it. Bought this one about two hours ago.Not happy with the engine cut off when you disengage the lever. Many pulls to get started again. If engine cools it seems to start a little easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase made. Best purchase I've made. I suffer from arthritis and it's hard to get certain things done around the yard. From the moment I started it I was so happy. Plus it works great. Does everything they said it would. No regrets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool... Was looking for an alternative to handheld trimmers and this is a wonderful tool. Very powerful but took some practice getting used to it but well worth it. Trims and clears weeds and brush quickly and easily. Great addition to my yard tools.
Date published: 2019-05-26

Our ST 100 has worked perfectly until this year. Now it run at low speed and just rev's up and down never hitting more than 1/2 speed. We replaced the filter and it still will not operate properly. We have a 4 yr. extended warranty but lost the receipt.
