Equipped with spring starting and advanced two step starting, the effort it takes to pull the starter rope and start the engine is greatly reduced. The 8 in. forward-rotating premium steel deep-dig tines are ideal for prepping smaller vegetable gardens, flower beds or herb gardens. Its adjustable tilling width from 6 inches to 12 inches accommodates a variety of areas and tasks. This cultivator is designed with an ergonomic and foldable plow-handle for easy use and storage.

The power on this little guy is amazing! I was very surprised and so pleased with how easy it was to maneuver this machine around even on my uneven landscaping. It starts easy, you don’t have to worry about mixing gas & oil (which is a definite plus in my book) and it functions just like you want it to. It’s very easy to handle. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact but Powerful The Cub Cadet 29cc 4-cycle Gas Cultivator has made my outdoor gardening work a LOT easier and way faster. It's compact, but it's oh so powerful! The packaging was really simple. None of that Styrofoam stuff that makes a mess everywhere or a bunch of cardboard strewn about, which I really do appreciate because it makes my job a lot easier. The set up was just as simple. Just snap the handles to the bottom, and then connect the wheels. It literally took no more than 5 minutes. Add oil then the 4 cycle fuel (no mixing oil/gas) prime the engine, power her up and she's read to go. Also note: the pull string is very easy to pull and she starts on the first go. This lightweight tool is the perfect size for smaller garden beds, but don't let it fool you because it IS powerful. It's a little too much for me so I had my boyfriend use it and he had no problem controlling it. I do think the handles should be adjustable as i'm fairly short (5'3) and they were a little tall for me which makes it harder to control. It rips through everything: grass, weeds, plants, soil with such ease. It even got caught on my huge yucca plant and ripped the leaves right off of it (our own fault for getting too close) It's really gets down in the earth too, at least 6 inches deep. We got the front bed going along the length of our house done within 10 minutes. I can't believe how easy and fast it was! So much better than spending half the day doing it by hand. I have several more projects to get done in the back yard and I rest easy knowing this cultivator will save me so much time and effort and will get them done with ease. This Cub Cadet cultivator has been such a time saver and I'm extremely happy with it. I can't recommend it enough to those who have smaller areas that need tackling or to other home gardeners such as myself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

the pullstart on mine only retracts about 6"
