Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would NOT recommend This is the third time I’ve used this mower in as many weeks since I bought it. It goes every direction but straight, and since it weighs a bunch, wrestling it constantly back on course wears you out prematurely. As others have noted, the hand controls are made for Sasquatch or Yao Ming...and have little precise controls ....it’s either all on or all stop; which is great if you were mowing flat and level pastures. This machine is not for any sort of hill or contour. I’m definitely taking it back.... as soon as I get the feeling back in my hands and wrists.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs design improvements. I may be returning the mower... The mower cuts great but the toggle levers should be under the hand bars and not on top. It makes making turns very hard when stripping your turf. Hard on your wrists as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from highly recommend my new Cub Cadet cc800 mower has cut my mowing time in half while still giving me the look I want for my lawn I would recommend to anyone with a large lawn

Rated 3 out of 5 by from CC800 - Initial Quality Issue In general, I’m pleased with the features and performance of the CC800. It replaced a 33” Billy Goat mower that I had been using for the past 15 years. The cutting height adjustment feature is very convenient, and the twin-blade mower deck provides for a clean and even cut…better than the triple-blade deck on the Billy Goat. However, after only three hours of mowing the cutting blades stopped working. I removed the cover on the mower deck and discovered that the bellcrank that actuates the rotation of the blades had come loose from its mounting point. It was obvious that the nut required to secure the bolt that holds the bellcrank in place had not been installed during assembly in the factory. After a trip to the hardware store to purchase a lock nut, I was able to put everything back together again in working order. I also have a couple of suggestions for Cub Cadet to improve the CC800: add a cup holder near the control panel to accommodate a water bottle, and replace the lever that controls the mower movement with a trigger that can be actuated from the bottom of the handle bar with your fingers…this would vastly improve the user’s ability to finesse the movement of the mower when negotiating tight turns and going around obstacles in the lawn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My perfect grass mowing machine. We have flat ground and it’s perfect. It isn’t made for hillsides. It’s a great farm tool. It goes through weeds and tall thick grass like a hot knife through butter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Design flaw The height adjuster handle sticks out or is just in a bad place because it bumps into stuff while mowing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from used today great machine. noticed bagger bracket on handel cables rub alittle on it added rubber hose on it cables not on metal any more cables should last alot longer maybe cub cadet should add this to their equipment. ordered bage from power equipment direct or power equipment direct should add this feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets... I was hesitant to buy after online video comparisons with Toro 28". I was a little concerned with video showing clumping and a lot of back and forth manuevering to be able to cut through taller grass. However, this was all quickly dispelled, as I was late on the first cut of the season and this machine cut through 6"-8" grass without issue, .65 acre. The video must have been cut in a swamp... Four speeds are fantastic!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unbelievable Less then 2 hours on machine and drive pulley and belt came apart and machine does not move. Now I have to figure out how’s to get it to an authorized dealer for repair. You pay more for cub cadet less than 2 hours is a joke

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a very good mower Starts easy, cuts nice and even. Good power for the average homeowner. Only issue is if you let go of the handle, the blades stop. Needs a lock on it. Will be purchasing the bagger kit shortly, online I guess since no stores stock them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Started Out Good..Ended Poor I was really excited to purchase this mower, but unfortunately, after less than 30 days the mower broke a weld from underneath which is connected to the handle that raises and lowers the deck for blade cutting height. For the price of this mower the quality should be excellent but just know this is a flaw in this mower design. It's a shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Walk Behind Mower Ever I am so pleased with the Cub Cadet. It is the best investment I've made.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy! I have used a couple times. this was my first time purchasing something ftom Tractor Supply. They were very easy to do business with. Starts right up. Quieter and smoother to operate than other wide cut mowers I've owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CC 800 Walk behind mower I recently purchased the CC800 cub cadet mower from TSC and quickly found it to be and excellent mower. It is a powerful mower for any lawn of 1/2 acre or more. The ability of mower to zero turn around trees, flower beds or anything else in yard is absolutely amazing. I had previously evaluated whether to purchase the Toro wide cut Time Master 30 inch mower. After purchasing the CC 800 and using it I am certain there is no comparison with the underpowered Toro unit. As a matter of fact the Toro Time Master is simply not in same league with the CC800. There is simply no comparison between the two. The cub cadet is far superior in power and handling to Toro. The CC800 provides an excellent cut which can easily be adjusted or height of cut and the ability to adjust the speed of mower is very good plus the unit can be started by on board battery or recoil if you prefer. With the power of the 382 cc engine it is unclear why Cub Cadet does not supply the mower with a 42 inch deck instead of the 33 inch. Perhaps they will someday do this as well. Overwall its a super walk behind mower. The bottom line is if you are looking for a big walk behind mower I do not believe you can go wrong with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Pleased So Far! We went from a 20" push mower to the 33" that this Cub Cadet offers to take care of our 3/4 acre. Very happy with the performance so far. Have only used a couple of times. It is taking a little to get used to but we are looking forward to mowing this summer for the first time in a long time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price. Good mower This mower is reasonably priced and a good value for the 2 acres I mow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower I bought this mower because my regular push mower had broken and my yard isn’t quit big enough for a rider. I’ve mowed twice and it has cut my time down tremendously. It makes a beautiful cut.
Date published: 2019-04-23
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Way better than a 21 inch push mower So far so good. Two things: #one is make sure you don’t have anything that could jam up the blades, for me it was a small stump I thought was low enough to the ground. It was not. It stopped the blades and the motor and in the process threw the blades out of time ( they are timed with a cog belt) so when I started back up the blades hit each other which required taking the time to loosen the belt and rotate the blades into a position where they didn’t hit one another. Learned that lesson. #two is the shift handle requires you to bend down quite a ways for a tall person to shift the gears. Other than that it’s been a great mower with plenty of power and relatively quiet. I know it’s a little early because we’re just starting off the 2019 mowing season

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cut, strong well built unit! I bought this unit to save some time when cutting my lawn. I trim some hard to get areas with a 21” unit and use the Cub Cadet CC800 33” cut on open areas both flat and hilly. Not disappointed!! Exactly what I bought it for, well done Cub Cadet listening to your customers to make a great unit! Thanks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mower I am highly satisfied with the mower I purchased the mower and the customer service was great

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cuts great! Has one problem though... I’ve used this mower numerous times already and it’s cuts awesome and cuts down my time a lot. The issue I have with the mower is the ignition. I don’t know if it gets too hot from the south Texas heat that causes the battery to drain. But it never fails, when I absolutely need my wife cut that’s when it’ll decide not to start. I’ve tried the back up recoil but that doesn’t work either. I usually roll it in the let it sit for a bit then it’ll start up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I Hoped For... This wide area cut mower literally cut the time it take to cut my yard in half. I’ve got about 3/4 of an acre, and some detailed landscaping. I was able to maneuver around beds with easy and keep control of this unit - even with its weight. Highly recommend. I also received great service at Tractor & Supply!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Parts are missing! No Owners Manual! I have not had a chance to use my new mower because parts that hold the handles together are missing, and without a owners manual I cannot describe the part name or part number of what is missing! Also without the manual I don"t know about service intervals or product registration. I am very unhappy with this, anytime I pay for a new product I expect all the parts and a owners manual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet CC800 what a Great Purchase I purchased the Cub Cadet CC800 with anticipation of another fall. I have an acre it’s very wooded. Lots of leaves and grass. So I needed some help. The mower works amazing it vacuumed the leaves with ease - in addition to giving me a really nice mow. The key is great to have - no more pulling to start. The use clock is very convienient - helps keep track of use for maintenance. Most of all I was very satisfied with my purchase at Tractor supply co. The staff made ordering a snap - very reasonable shipping - as well as a promt delivery. I received it about 2-3 days sooner than expected. I also purchased the accompanying bag. All in All I highly recomend TSC and the CC800
