Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I needed to get the remaining water out of my above ground pool quickly. Bought this pump and it worked flawlessly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! Works as advertised. Used it to pump rain water collected in yard from heavy rains.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This model works well and has proven to be durable Works well for smaller/medium jobs where you need a sub pump. We have a cellar that will sometimes fill with ground water or rain so we use this for that purpose. We also have used it to empty cattle water throughs when they need to be cleaned. I purchased this model because the one I purchased about 10 years ago that lasted a very long time. It might have lasted longer had my son not accidently cut the power cord off while mowing the yard. I recommend this product to anyone who might have a similar need.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GPH rating is not accurate I bought this about 2 weeks ago to replace a 1/6 hp pump that was not able to keep my pond filled. I have a leak in the pond and the only way to keep it full is to pump the water from a spring house next to the pond. the 1/6 HP pump was able to pump about 8-9 gallons per minute (420-480 gph) This pump is 1/4 HP and was rated at 1,320 gph and pumps about 3 gallons per minute (180 gph). The lift is about 4 feet so I figured the higher gph with the lift would be about right and I would maybe have to use a float switch to prevent the pump from emptying the spring house. When I read the amp rating on the pump, they are identical to my 1/6 hp pump, 6 amp motor. The only difference is the size of the intake screen. It may be defective since when I first got it it would not start pumping until I banged it pretty hard against a 4x4 post. That should not be needed. I may be returning it since it really is worse than the pump I replaced it with. Not sure if they will take it back since it has been used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! The Uitility Pump works just for what I bought it for. We have it connected to a switch to turn it on and off. I just have to remember, by setting my timer, to do that so it doesn't burn out. I'm very satisfied with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spring in my yard I bought this pump back in April to pump the water level down in my yard. I dug a hole 3 feet in diameter 4 feet deep and set this pump on a flat rock and started pumping....I have continued to pump the water out of the hole in the ground on and off for several month depending on rain and it has done a great job. I bet I have pumped 20,000 gallons or more..just need to clean the screen every couple of days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont Lastt Bought this a month maybe less and its quit pumping
Date published: 2019-04-15
Rated 1 out of 5 by from No parts available Impeller is cheap plastic and I have not been able to find a replacement part
Date published: 2018-09-26
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed, piece of junk. Wouldn't work, impeller is too tight. It takes a act of Congress, to get the cover off. You need to release three clips, at the same time with 3 medium blade, screw drivers, Instructions are worthless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the job I bought this because the intense rain flooded my garage floor and started to freeze. I moved a majority of the ice and it did a great job moving the water.
Date published: 2018-02-21
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pure junk. I bought this two weeks ago. Was noisy and vibrated. Pumped maybe 500 gallons first day, second day it wouldn't first, just hummed. Finally started and pumped another 500 gallons. Third day wouldn't start. I smashed it on a rock so I can't return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works great!! bought it 2 months ago and pumped about 25000 gal of water yea you read it right not 2500, 25000 gal through a 30 foot garden hose

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cracked pump casing after 1 week I bought this pump for an aquaponics system to run continually in my sump tank to pump into my fish tank. It burnt up after a week with a cracked pump casing leaked oil into my system ruined everything. This pump is not thermally protected, or at least it didn't work for me and burned up immediately. I suggest to anyone buy an electric float switch if your pump doesn't have one. Don't trust the thermal protection.

Would it empty a hot tub? A 25” suction lift isn’t very much. The hot tub is deeper than that.

Asked by: MLKendall
The pump has a 25’ suction lift, not 25”. So yes, it should be able to handle the lift out of the hot tub.

Can this pump be used with a power washer? If there is no water discharge will the pump shut off or continue running.? If it continues running without any discharge will that damage the pump?

Asked by: Cappyphil
If this pump runs without a discharge, it will be damaged, it should not be used with a power washer.

How do you remove the screen from a CLSU6

Asked by: Rebel10
To remove the screen from your utility pump, you will need a flathead screwdriver. Turn the pump upside down and you will find 3 circular feet. On the outer diameter of each foot, facing towards the inside of the pump, the screen meets up with the foot on a flat edge. Take the flathead screwdriver and insert it between the foot and the flat edge. Angle the handle of the screwdriver away from the pump to pop the tab off the shoulder it rests on. Continue onto the other 2 feet until the screen comes off the pump. Please note that you will need to be gentle as the tabs are plastic. If you use too much force, they may break. Please check your email for picture instruction on how to remove the screen.

Can it be used to clean out a 3ft deep above ground swimming pool? If so, can it be full submerged 3 ft underwater?

Asked by: Judy20
Yes, The pump is designed to be submersed. It will pump as long as it is plugged in so be sure to unplug it before it has a chance to run dry.

Can this pump be fully submerged in water and work

Asked by: Geoswitch
Yes, this is a submersible, utility pump. There is NO way that this unit will shut off, so a person has to be by the pump, to shut it off when there is no water.

Does the pump have a run cycle? Our pump runs and then stops. I understood it should run as long as it is plugged in.

Asked by: Dhirt
This is a utility pump, is to be used for getting the water off the floor (3” To 4” depth of water). If you are using the unit to remove more than 4” of water, it should not be used for more than 30 minutes. This unit should be turned off for about 15 to 20 minutes to cool and then use again. This is an oil cooled motor, so the oil is to cool the motor, oil cooled motor pumps can not run continuously.
