Reviews

CountyLine Stainless Steel Transfer Utility Pump, 1 HP is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gone thru 2 pumps in 3 years Our pump lasted only one year. Based on other reviews, it seems like it should have lasted a lot longer than that. This is the second of this brand pump we have replaced in the last three years. Shortly after moving into our current house we had to replace the pump which we use to power our pond's fountain. We replaced it with the same pump in May 2019 and the pump failed in June 2020, almost exactly to the date of the warranty expiring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jet pump Great transfer pump. I had one that must have lasted a good 10 years so I decided to buy another!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not self priming I bought in store. The box said it was self priming. Got home an noticed it had a priming plug. Open the instructions and sure enough, not self priming. I didn't try it out, a little pricy for not being self priming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well for a long time. I've had my County Line transfer pump for about 10 years. Used it mostly to water the garden from the duck pond. It has set up for about 2 years. It seems the suction is a little weak. Have the impellers weakened from setting up? It's way out of warranty, but may need servicing. Who can I contact to for factory help and parts?

Do these need to be primed with every use? I'm looking to install pump on wall, extending 3' up from lake level, connect a hose and water the lawn, Max distance 75'

Asked by: Bob7733
There should be a foot valve on the end of the pipe in the water, so that when you prime the first time, the water does not go back into the lake. After the first time priming, you should be able to start the pump up every time and have water out of your hose.

Can a garden hose be hooked to outlet with a nozzle that will be turned on and off?

Asked by: New Orleans
On model CLSS5 you cannot block the output of the pump with a nozzle. The pump cannot turn itself off.
