Rated 4 out of 5 by from Installation of pressure well tank was a snap The bladder in my ex. pressure tank failed and my well pump was running all the time. After talking t some plumber friends, the tank replacement seemed pretty straight forward, but the potential cost a bit concerning. Fortunately, I checked out the tanks TSC had and found them to be of decent quality while the price was good. Installation was a snap partly because the previous installer had provided union fitting between the tank and the main house supply piping so it was easy to remove the old and install the new using the ex. piping. Having a plastic base on the tank seems like a bonus as my old tank was all metal and really starting to corrode around the base. The tank has been working great since I got it installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the third tank I bought in 10 years The bladder leaks after 3 years, I continue to purchase the defective tanks because plumbing stores are not open on Sunday when this product fails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it should. I bought a tank after ours failed. Was an easy install. I like the hard plastic base so it will avoid rust. It works. Have not had long but so far so good. I feel like it was a good value. Everyone in the store was very helpful and courteous.

My box with the Jet Pump said 30/50 on it for the pressure switch. Does this mean I do not have the 20/40 that I asked for? If so I assume I can adjust the pressure down on the switch or put 28lbs back in the tank.

Asked by: gunk
Yes, the air in the tank is always 2 pounds of air pressure less than the start pressure of the pressure switch.

What does draw down time mean.? I checked my well pump into a 5 gal pail. To fill it the time was 61 seconds. Is a 35 gal tank enough.?

Asked by: dipso
The draw down is the amount of gallons of water in the tank that would come out of the tank when the pump in in the Off position. So, the water that comes from the tank while the pump would be shut Off to the time the pump would turn back On, is the draw down. The 35 gallon tank would be about 10 gallons on a 30/50 pressure switch.

I have a well to water the lawn.We have a 35 gal tank but the pump cycles very quickly when I have all four sprinklers open. Can I add this tank to my existing system to lengthen cycle time (and save some money) or do I need replace with the 85 gal tank?

Asked by: RSSW
Using a pressure tank with the pump will increase the length of the pump cycle. The larger the tank capacity the longer the cycle.

Is this a glass lined tank. If it is not, what is the lining? I'm not asking about the bladder material.

Asked by: Old Fire Truck 51
No, it is not glass. The interior of the bladder tank is bare steel.

Do I need to keep the tank pressure at 40lbs. My pressure switch is 20/40 and is recommended to have a pressure in tank of 18lbs. I can not pump water into this tank from my well. I have water at tank inlet but can not fill it yet can fill a second tank?

Asked by: gunk
Yes, the tank pressure is to be 18lbs. The pressure is always 2lbs less than the start pressure of the pressure switch turn on.
