Rated 5 out of 5 by from There when needed Old Sump pump failed Saturday. How nice to be able to walk in to the Tractor Supply in Shelbyville, IL, grab an upgraded replacement and install. Saved my crawl space from flooding. Replaced the old with a 1/2 hp cast iron model. Music to my ears to hear the thing run in the middle of the night. Should be good for several years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install and very Simple drop in install replacement of my old pump. The old one had a float switch that would sometimes hang up. This one doesn't hang up because of the rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty I had this model for my basement before and it lasted 5 years. The cast iron is nice and it has the vertical switch we needed. There is no assembly needed, our hose that hooked up to it was not the same size and it came with an adapter that was the same size so that was even better. Great quality!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pump! I've used this pump for about three weeks, it's performed very well. It moves water well, time will tell on how well it holds up. I choose it after shopping around at other stores. I would have given it 5 stars but for the intake, I would prefer a finer screen. Over all I have been very pleased.

How many watts I does this pump use? This isn't listed in the manual and I need to know to find out if I can use a battery backup supply.

Asked by: Rick851
On Page #2, under Specifications, for this unit it is 4.7 amps. Which is 540.5 running watts, so you have to have 2800 watts to start this unit. If you have any less watts, It will burn out the pump motor. This is Not Under Warranty!!

My grandfather bought this pump and installed it but as soon as we plugged it in wouldn't shut off the troubleshooting page says it could be a defective float switch restricted discharge float obstructed or restricted intake screen but I dont think it is.

Asked by: Tolbert7
The recommendation is to make sure that both cords are plugged into each other and only one cord is plugged in to wall outlet.

What does it mean by 26 ft of s suction

Asked by: Jimmy jo68
Suction lift is how far in feet the pump can push water. It is the sum of vertical and horizontal distances and friction loss through the pipe. Therefore, this pump can pump 26’ of suction lift. If there is any question on calculating what total lift would be, our techs are available to help at 1-800-535-4950.
