Item Information

'Scuppernong' is the oldest muscadine variety on the market, bearing large, super-sweet, bronze-colored fruits that ripen in late summer. Muscadines are native to the southeastern United States and highly tolerant of pests and disease, making them easy for home gardeners to grow. 'Scuppernong' needs a "perfect flowered" cultivar such as 'Cowart', 'Late Fry' or 'Carlos' for to set fruit.

  • Includes one Muscadine 'Scuppernong' in a 2.5 quart pot and a detailed planting guide
  • Best grown in USDA hardiness zones 7-10
  • 'Scuppernong' is a vine that can grow up to 20 ft. long
  • Needs a trellis or other support system
  • Must be planted with a "perfect flowered" cultivar for proper pollination and fruit set
  • Performs best in full sun

Cottage Farms Grape Muscadine 'Scuppernog', 1-Piece Plant with Purpose, 2.5 qt. is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scuppernong Grapevines arrived. Received my grapevines two weeks ago and so far doing well. A bit disappointed in one of them—quite the runt while the other was big and healthy, as described. If you buy these pay attention to the size. Overall happy with my purchase.
