Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Price - Strong Worker I use the Champion 4500 lb winch to put in and pull out a 500 lb boat life. The lift has to roll down 12 ft ramps at a pretty step angle over rocks. Replaces another brand smaller winch and the Champion really did the job especially holding steady when the job required a pause half way down the ramps, no cable slip. Easy to put the few pieces together and mount.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Remote? The item states that it comes with a handheld remote. It comes with a handlebar mount remote with short leads that will not reach to the interior of an UTV. You will need to purchase another remote in order for it to be useful on anything that does not have handlebars.

Is this water proof?

Asked by: JBHD
The winch is water resistant but not water proof.

Why would the winch blow a fuse in my truck? It's been on my trailer for a week only. It blew as I was driving my truck.

Asked by: Mario8664
The winch should not be wired through any fuses in your truck. Where is it connected? If you have it attached to the trailer lights connection, this will not work. Please call us at 877-338-0999 M-F 8:30AM-5PM PST for additional support.

I bought a dual axle 7 x 14 trailer from TSC, awesome product. How does this product wire or connect into the bottom receptacle on a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500? Trailer lead hooks to the top receptacle.

Asked by: Pats57
You do not connect the winch to the trailer leads on your vehicle. The amperage draw is way more than what trailer lights require and you will damage the wiring. You must use properly size wiring. On a winch of this size it should be at least 6 gauge wire.
