Easy-to-use C.E. Smith Fender Mounting Brackets are great for many applications with no welding required. When strength mounted correctly over your tire, hot-dipped galvanized brackets give support. Use C-clamps to temporarily attach a bracket to the frame on either side of the tire where you think they should be, based on the set up of your running gear. Allow 2-3 in. for clearance from the fender above the tire. Using 3/8 in. bolts, washers and nuts for mounting. Mark hole locations on the frame and hole locations on the fender. Remove the tires before drilling. Drill 3/8 in. Holes at marked locations. Attach the brackets with the fender to the frame using 3/8 in. - 16 Hex head bolts, washers and locknuts all hardware (not included). The length of your bolt will be determined by the width of your tubular frame. Channel frames usually require 1 in. bolt. Tubular frames require longer bolts.
