Reviews

Bivi Today (Cephaperin Sodium) One-Day Treatment Lactating Cows is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Veterinarian recommend The veterinarian said to use this. Was easy enough to use. Not happy that when my hubby went to pick it up he was given expired medicine. That's a lot of money fer expired. Hopefully it worked cause couldn't get back to the store to exchange as it was needed then.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this stuff This is a great product! I have used it on dairy goats and cows but my one complaint is I used to be able to by single tubes and now all I can get is 12 packs. If a cow or a goat only has a bad half or quarter then you need 2 maybe 3 doses to clear it. Then if you do not have another need for it the rest goes bad.... NOT PRACTICAL!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healed my horse fast! Worked like a dream on my gelding's leg laceration!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Should be sold in individual doses. Excellent product. I have used it twice over the years on cows showing the first signs of mastitis. Cleared up the problem immediately. However, it has an expiration date. Having to buy an entire 12 count box is expensive. My cow this time had only one infected quarter. That's 2 doses. It is unlikely that I'll need the other 10 before they expire.

Questions & Answers

Can Today be used on eyes? My vet suggested it for my alpaca with eye issues.

Asked by: Linda and Bill
Please see below for the vendor's response. It is not labeled for eyes. Their vet can tell them use items off label but I cannot nor should you.

Can I still inject ToDay into my cow's teat if I cannot get any milk out?? She has a 3 day old calf with her that we are bottle feeding. Her front 2 teats are engorged but no milk comes out. Her back 2 teats have have milk but won't let calf nurse.

Asked by: janet027
Please see the below response from the manufacturer: "The short answer to this question is you can but I would question how well it will work. It is important to determine why you aren’t getting any milk out of the udder."

any reason i cant use this on a jersey cow that is nursing a calf

Asked by: Michael3434
If the cow has mastitis, then treatment may be necessary. As long as milk and meat withdrawal times are observed in the dam and meat withdrawal times are observed in the calf should they be marketing milk or meat, they will be okay.
