How do you reset the clock forward one hour, please. The outdoor temperature is reading way too high. I had the moniter in a shaded tree and it still reads 20 or more degrees too high when moniter is on our enclosed vestibule where sun never comes.

Asked by: Judy77
Hello Judy77, Please follow the steps below to set the time forward. Set the Time, Date & Units Press and release the SET button to enter SETUP MODE. Once in setup mode, the preference you are currently setting will blink on the display. To adjust the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the “▲” or “▼” buttons located on the back of the display (press and HOLD to fast adjust). To save your adjustments, press and release the SET button again to adjust the next preference. The preference set order is as follows: DST* (Daylight Saving Time ON or OFF) TIME ZONE (NST AST EST CST MST PST AKT HAT) CLOCK HOUR CLOCK MINUTE CALENDAR MONTH CALENDAR DATE CALENDAR YEAR TEMPERATURE UNITS (ºF or ºC) BAROMETRIC PRESSURE UNITS (inHg or hPa) *If you live in an area that observes daylight saving time, DST should be set to ON, even if it is not currently Daylight Saving Time. If you are reading too high temperature, please verify you are using the battery recommendations and try the troubleshooting steps listed below. Batteries: •Verify you are using fresh alkaline batteries or lithium batteries (when temperature is below -4°F/-20°C) in sensor. •Quality brand batteries are recommended, including Duracell, Rayovac, Energizer, or Kirkland. •Verify batteries are fresh. The battery expiration date should be at least 6 years out. Batteries can lose 3% power or more every year in storage. •Heavy duty, extra strength or generic / store brand batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the way these types of batteries disperse power. Each battery should not exceed 1.6 volts. •Rechargeable batteries are not recommended for use with AcuRite products because they may cause performance irregularities due to the voltage instability of these types of batteries. •Mixing different battery types (brands, old/new, etc.) is not recommended. Hard reset: - Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries - Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first - Place batteries into display - Allow units to sit side by side until they connect. If you have any other questions, please contact the AcuRite Support Team at 262-729-4852, we are happy to assist you. Thank you.
