Midwest Can 5 gal. Gasoline Can, 5610 is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The stupidiest can yet I bought this about 2 weeks ago and did not know it had some stupid insert inside to stop or slow the gas pump nozzel. Upon inserting the nozzel into the can the gas shot right back out on me covering my shoes and jeans and the drive. It took 15 min to fill with a small trickle and me bent over the can for the hole time with the nozzle barely inserted into the stupid can. Got it home filled atv and it will not empty all the way with the insert inside. Got a pocket knife and pliers tried to get it out and finally it fell inside the can. I replace the can nozzle with a good one that actually lets me fill a atv lawmower and will just use it with some kind of plastic nozzle inside the can

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Absolute worst can I have ever owned Constantly shuts off the gas pump with its “safety” features. I literally just walked away from 3 gallons of free fuel perks gas because if this ridiculous can. Total garbage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great can. Replace the nozzle. This is a great can. It's plastic, it appears durable, and it holds fuel. I also purchased an EZ-pour nozzle to replace the piece of junk nozzle that came with it. All the negative reviews are knocking the nozzle. Don't knock the can! Just know that if you pick one of these up to also pick up an EZ-pour!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gas can Holds fuel as it should. Put fuel in, and when you need to fill something up pour it in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can is fine, spout is garbage I bought this can, but threw away the spout and replaced it with an ezflow. The spout is junk but the can is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good deal This is a good light weight gas can that works very well for lawnmower gas..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gas can Purchased in anticipation of hurricane but thankfully I didn’t need them.
Date published: 2017-09-28
Rated 3 out of 5 by from spout lock is hard to engage The spout has a locking mechanism that is very hard to engage. Designed to unlock when inserted into talk opening but created spills and certainly would be impossible for an elderly or small person to manage.
Date published: 2017-09-15
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of junk This container is the same as any other carb compliant one. Between trying to hold a full container up and work the locking collar, you are more likely to spill more fuel that if you use an old style can.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed spout 1.) the cap gets in the way; 2.) the "hook" isn't large enough -- slips off rim of tank; 3.) it will only vent if you hold the can at a shallow angle; 4.) pour rate is slow

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Spout ever designed! These were on sale at the local supply store. Looked like a great deal. First time to use it, I filled up my watercraft. Standing in knee deep lake water, with a few waves, leaning over holding over thirty lbs. of gas, (bad back didn't help either), It took what seemed like 10 minutes to empty the five gallons! There is no air vent, so the air has to gurgle past the outflowing fuel, making it very, very slow! I absolutely hate this product! I will see if I can adapt a different spout, and install a vent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why does Tractor Supply continue to sell this junk Look at all the bad reviews this can has but yet they continue to sell this junk
Date published: 2017-09-02
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Like the shape, Spout is a pain and pours slow Just as the title says, like the square shape/size but the spout pours too slow
Date published: 2016-11-11
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scepter gas can My last review was disapproved. Probably because of liability reasons. We don't want to offend somebody too stupid to use a gas can. This one will get disapproved as well but somebody will at least get a laugh out of it. This is a cheap gas can. All new gas cans suck but this was the cheapest. It's the EPA's fault, not Scepter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SPOUT IS A PIECE OF JUNK worst gas can I ever bought. Spout is a piece of junk
Date published: 2016-06-08
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design I have this can and the safety mechanism makes it very difficult to use. Better to get the "No Spill" gas can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BAD spout, GREAT CAN I got this can on the 3rd of October 2015. The can itself is a great can. It does hold the full 5 gal. plus, it has the two handles so you can hold it in two positions, and that is a good thing cause they are heavy when they are full. The SPOUT on the other hand is totally opposite. It is almost impossible to use without spilling any gas. The way to get gas cans now, is to get the can you want, whether it be gas, K-1, or Diesel, and trash the spout, and get one that is workable for you. Myself, the flexible bending type is best. You can see the gas when it is coming out, comes out quick, you can see the gas in the container you are pouring it in so you know when to stop, and it makes the can totally worth the money that you pay for it. The can I would recommend, the nozzle, NO WAY- NOT EVEN TO MY EX-WIFE...
Date published: 2015-10-05
Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT RECOMMEND Cannot figure out how to use this product. Had to peel off the label and post on a piece of paper to try to "peel back for instructions", then half the writing peeled off between the two! When I was able to get any gas to come out, it leaked all over everything! So, unless you have hours to spend trying to get your gas, I wouldn't recommend!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless Spout for my Generator Tank I bought two of these for my new generator (January 2015). Now I know why they are on sale :-( The fuel tank has NO lip to trigger the spout - now I must go back to the sloppy splash pour with a funnel. A very bad design. The tank holds more that 5 Gallons, so would take a long time anyhow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spout is a complete waste of space Worst piece of hardware I ever bought, so frustrating and flimsy . If you bought one do yourself a favor and use your gasoline to burn the thing
Date published: 2014-10-28
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Spout I recently bought two of these cans to fuel my boat and the spouts are the biggest piece of junk I have ever used. I thought these cans would be good to avoid using a funnel in the filling process. I love Tractor Supply but sometimes wonder if their buyers ever look at the product a practicality of using it.
Date published: 2014-08-26
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can is just fine...spout is horrible! Spout broke before I was even able to dispense any gas at all. I now have to pour without the spout into another can that does have a spout. I'll have to get a regular spout to replace this one at some point.
Date published: 2014-08-07
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nozzle is terrible. I bought this gas can around a year ago and the safety feature on the nozzle has already broken rendering the nozzle useless. I have to remove the nozzle and poor the gas directly through the opening. Would not recommend this container at all.

How do you actually use it. I tried to use it on my Snow Blower and nothing came out of the nozzle. I had to take the spout off and use a funnel.

Asked by: RanSoft
First, please make sure your spout is installed and screwed onto your container properly to prevent leaking. While the container is on the ground click in the red safety lock located on your spout. This will un-lock your spout for use. Pick up your container and place the tip of the spout inside your fuel tank. Using the black notch on the spout, rest notch on tank lip, push downward to retract spout. This will start the flow. Please remember you need to click in red safety lock before each use. is this can vented?

Asked by: CaptBullardo
These cans have CARB compliant nozzles. There is a plunger at the front that allows the container to vent in air.
