Q: Anyone had an issues with worms being in the food? We have had to throw out multiple packages due to little white worms being in the bottom after we flipped it onto a plate or in a bowl.

I bought this for our geriatric cat (17 year old). As they get to this age some things do not digest well. It is hard to find Senior 10+ year old. I tried this sensitive stomach food and she is tolerating it well. So I will continue buying for her.

Our cat is geriatric. She will soon be 20 years old. 🙂 She was having stomach issues, projectile vomiting, and loosing weight. Our vet requested we change he to sensible digestion food. We sorted her in this. She has stopped vomiting, she is gaining, weight, and she loves the flavor. She eats twice as much as she did before.

Great results

Our cat has been able to keep food down for a few weeks. Tests at vet were ok so out of desperation we switched food. Started on Sunday, by Wednesday we were seeing amazing results. She had been losing fur at the base of her tail and legs as well as vomiting. Now hair is already coming back and zero puke!

New formula and packaging damage

New formula is obvious when product comes with high volume of water. Texture is now very soupy compared to same product from a couple months ago. Supplier has been sending cat food individual tins loosely in a giant box rather than the appropriate 15 can sleeve box. Therefore the cans come damaged with seals sometimes broken.

4 Health Sensitive Stomach was a golden find 1 year ago! First food to finally help my elderly, sensitive stomach cat have normal poops that don’t stink so bad. Last week, I received new 15 pack and as soon as I opened the can, I could tell the difference! It was very watery with no texture as before. I had no choice but to feed to my cat who incurred severe diarrhea for the next few days until I could drive 30 miles to the nearest Tractor  Supply  and exchange. I got 1 case of 15 and there was 1 single I took.  When I got home, I opened the single and it was normal! Then next day when started the 1st of the case pack it was same watery, thin I had just returned! I drove 30 miles back and the manager was very nice as I explained the problem. She had a case pack, and I opened 1 at the counter before I drove all the way home. It was NOT good again. I was hoping it was just a temporary error of batch packaging, until I read reviews the product was indeed changed and I wasn’t losing my mind! It was the best food ever until now.

We switched to this sensitive stomach formula about six months ago, and it was immediately great. My cat loved it & was significantly less cranky. Our most recent auto-ship arrived a couple of weeks ago, and there was a very noticeable change. The texture was completely different, there was a higher liquid content, and it did not keep my cat full. He returned to being cranky and unhappy. I compared the latest box with a can from a previous box, and they have changed the formula, ingredients, and processing location. Be cautious. My cat does not like the new formula, and we will be changing his food.

The only food my senior cat with hypothyroidism can eat consistently without digestive issues. Less expensive than some brands and it’s convenient to be able to order it for curbside delivery. I usually get a bag or 2 of the pine litter as well.
