Item Information

4health Puppy Formula is specifically formulated to meet the nutritional needs of your puppy. Real lamb is the first ingredient, providing great taste for puppies that thrive on lamb protein. With protein and fat levels selected to help your puppy grow and thrive, this formula provides optimal nutrition for optimal health.

Ideal for pets that may have sensitivities to corn, wheat or soy.

Taurine-fortified to help support a healthy heart.

Docosahexaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, is provided by salmon oil. This fatty acid is important for optimal development of your puppy's brain and eyes.

These ingredients help maintain the proper balance of beneficial bacteria in your dog's intestines. Each cup of food provides live, active cultures that help support healthy digestion.

A blend of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids helps keep the skin and coat healthy and shiny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good performance at excellent price I've fed my Small Munsterlander the 4Health Puppy meal since he was ten weeks old. Health skin, eyes and shiny coat. No allergy issues with this feed. Am switching to one of the 4Health Adult formulas. Very happy with the quality to price ratio. Highly recommended for active dogs.

I really want to switch my girls to the original puppy formula since it’s lamb based instead of chicken.... however, the original kibble size is larger than the grain free. I think too large for my tiny girls. Why the difference?

Asked by: Lbales13
This suggestion will be passed along to the manufacture. The manufacture just decided to produce one puppy food with a bit larger kibble for the larger dogs and one has the tiny kibble to help the small breed dogs.

I have a Lab that is 3 months old, at what time is it recommended to move him up to adult dog food?

Asked by: onetime
Feeding a puppy an all-life stages recipe until at least one year of age or until the breed is considered full grown is recommended. At that time, it would be appropriate to transition to an adult recipe.

When switching to adult food which one would be the most similar to this I'm seeing all grain-free

Asked by: Bmccottry5
The adult formulation that is the most similar to the 4health Puppy is 4health Lamb & Rice for Adult Dogs. 4health Chicken & Rice Adult Dog Phosphorus: 1.2% Sodium: 0.29% Copper: 15mg/kg Ash: 7%

We've been feeding our 5 month old Lab the 'Puppy Formula' for about 1 1/2 months now, and she has had diarrhea/extremely soft stools since starting her on the food. What could be causing this?

Asked by: Lori0816

Is this ok for all sizes of dogs? I was instructed to feed a large breed puppy food for my german shepherd. Would this be ok?

Asked by: Dakotamami2006
The 4health Puppy Formula Dog Food is perfectly appropriate for small, medium, large or giant breed puppies.

Why doesn't your product contain taurine? I have heard it is needed in dog food.

Asked by: Berlin
All the 4Health dog foods have both Cysteine and Methionine which dogs naturally turn into Taurine. Additional Taurine is also added to all grain free foods per AAFCO regulations. Additional Taurine is also added to all senior and large dog breed food that is not labeled as GRAIN FREE. ALL 4Health Grain Free Foods are also Meat based diets, and the study is based on Vegetable based grain free dog foods.
