4health Grain Free Indoor Cat Formula for Adult Cats, 16 lb. Bag is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 316.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Always getting different results. After 3 years of trial and error, I'm done with this food. Based on the reviews, I wanted to love it, and I gave it a very fair chance. The first year, everything seemed to be going very well; no issues. But then, results changed, and I see where others were wondering if the formula/recipe changed, as well. With every bag I purchase, I never know what the results will be. One bag, all 6 kitties seem to like it and can hold it down. The next bag, everyone's yakking and turning their noses up at it. Particle sizes are always changing too. When there's an issue, and everyone is getting sick, I stop feeding this food, and the issue goes away. Just to see if it's the food, I'll offer again, from the same bag, and kitties are sick again. This food is consistently inconsistent. TS has been wonderful in letting me exchange the food whenever an issue arises, but I'm tired of having to do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Great Food - Reasonably Priced This is a great product! I have a number of large, hungry indoor cats. They all love the food. Much less throwing up, coats are glossy with no skin problems and they eat less because they aren't full of grain fillers. The price is great for the quality of the food. This is the first time that I've been able to afford food of this quality for everyone. You don't really need a celebrity name to sell this product and you shouldn't have to pay for that celebrities name on the bag of food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great food This food is smaller bites than some others. One of my kitties is about 20 yrs old and she had trouble eating others like meow mix and friskies but she does well eating this one. I tried the canned food but neither one liked it so I had to keep them on the friskies brand that they’re used too. But my old lady seems to be doing well. I think she’s actually gained a few ounces since she’s been on it.

Why is there powdered cellulose in your product? It is known to be hard on the digestive tract and could actually be cardboard or peanut hulls that has been ground and added. Also, your ingredients list "ocean fish meal." Which fish exactly was used?

Asked by: ESRoy
Cellulose is the component of the plant cell wall and is a source of fiber. It is included because it is the main ingredient for hairball control, binding to fur and facilitating its passage through the digestive tract. The ocean fish meal is Menhaden Whitefish.

What is the recemended serving size to help my 25 lb cat to loose weight?

Asked by: Leo tiger
The 4health grain free indoor cat formula is not a weight loss formula. We would recommend to look at our 4health special care weight management for cats. This formula is specifically formulated to weight management and there are feeding guidelines provided on the bag for weight loss. It is always important to discuss any significant dietary changes with your cat's veterinarian.

Is this product made in the USA? And, if so, why is that not stated on the package?

Asked by: kitty53
Our foods are manufactured in five facilities, all in the United States. Two are located in California, one in Missouri, one in Arkansas and one in South Carolina. We use some ingredients that are not USA sourced, like flaxseed and barley, both which originate in Canada and lamb and lamb meal from New Zealand and Australia, potato protein from Germany and dried chicory root from Belgium. There are ingredients that are critical to our formulations (i.e. folic acid and taurine) that can only be sourced out of China. Our choice is to either include these ingredients or manufacture our foods without them, which would not be in the best interest of your pet, in our view. Some pet food companies are making “China-Free” claims despite the facts I’ve outlined above. They accomplish this by utilizing a loophole in European law. European laws allow for ingredients purchased outside their continent, then reprocessed in Europe, to be labeled with European origin. We could likewise hide behind that loophole in the law, and tell you what you want to hear, but choose not to for obvious reasons. I’d rather you not feed our foods than to tell you they are China-free, when they are not. Food safety is our #1 priority and it shows in the amount of new business we get from word of mouth—friends and neighbors talking to one another, recommending our foods. Due to the ingredients mentioned below sourced outside the US.
