4health Grain Free Puppy Dog Food, 4 lb. Bag is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Food I have been using 4Health for 5 years now because I have a dog that is allergic to Red dye and now my 5 dachshund puppies all thrive on it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High in protein, Low in Taste. Bought this for a quick snack on the road, Can't believe how bland it was. My Dog eats like a person, and if I don't eat it, She won't touch it. After the first fist full I thought it would be alright, but the gritty after taste was not pleasant. Now I have no food for my princess, she will be hungry tonight. Do not recommend.

Does the 4Health Grain-Free puppy kibble resemble that of the regular 4Health Puppy Kibbles? I have two 12 wk old Boxer puppies currently eating the regular 4Health puppy food, and they don't seem eager to eat it.

Asked by: S_Sheffield
Yes, the kibble size is the same, the shape of a small disk 8.5 x 4.5mm (+/-1mm).

Does any ingredients come from China?

Asked by: Mentzer67
There are ingredients that are critical to our formulations (i.e. folic acid and taurine) that can only be sourced out of China. Our choice is to either include these ingredients or manufacture our foods without them, which would not be in the best interest of your pet, in our view. This product is screened for all toxins with a test called ToxiScreen. This test screens for other toxins besides melamine and cyanuric acid like heavy metals, pesticide residue, aflatoxin, vomitoxin, rodenticide, and many others. Should any of these contaminants be present in the sample, the ToxiScreen test will detect it.

Ruby (cockapoo) has been eating 4health Grain-free puppy kibble. She will be 1 years old in June and I am wondering when I should be switching her to adult food? She is 10 months tomorrow and weighs 17.8lbs and is very healthy. Please advise

Asked by: arfogarty
We recommend feeding a puppy or all life stages formula until at least twelve months of age or until the breed is considered full grown. At that time, it is appropriate to transition to an adult formula. Some pets may have sensitive stomachs and could potentially experience digestive upset from a sudden diet change. Because of this, we usually recommend making a gradual transition between foods. Begin with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the new food mixed with 75% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet. Feed this blend for 2-3 days and then change the mix to 50% of each for 2-3 days. Then feed 75% of the recommended daily portion of the new food with 25% of the recommended daily portion of the previous diet for a final 2-3 days before fully switching.
