    Spaghetti Sauce

    "I've served this many times in the 45 years I've had the recipe and everyone who has tasted it absolutely loves it," writes Marty.

    Ingredients

    • 1½ pounds hamburger
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • ½ green pepper, chopped
    • 1 clove of garlic, chopped.
    • 1 bay leaf
    • 1 level Tbsp. sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • ½ or 1 tsp. ground cloves to taste
    • 1 tsp. vinegar
    • 1 can of condensed tomato soup + ½ can water
    • ½ can tomato paste

    Directions

    Braise the hamburger, then add all other ingredients and mix. Simmer 2 to 3 hours. If it thickens too much, add a little water. Pour over spaghetti or bow tie pasta.
