    Beltline Bar Burritos Recipe

Submitted by Kim Williams, Fruitport, MI

Kim may be way north of the border, but her family occasionally craves Tex-Mex cuisine. "This is a 'popular demand' at all our family potlucks, plus in our own household," she writes.

    Ingredients

    • 3 lbs. ground beef
    • 2 packets burrito seasoning
    • 2 cups water
    • 2 small cans refried beans
    • 2 jars Heinz brown gravy
    • 2 cans 15 oz. tomato sauce
    • 1 Tbs. chili powder
    • Flour tortillas

    Toppings

    • ½ cup grated cheese
    • Lettuce
    • Tomatoes
    • Chopped onions
    • Cheese to taste
    • Sour Cream

    Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef then add burrito seasoning, water and beans. Combine brown gravy, tomato suce, chili powder together to make the sauce. Set aside. Put meat mixture on top of tortillas, add cheese, and fold to close. Place in baking dish and pour sauce over top of the filled shells. Sprinkle cheese over top of the sauce. Bake for 30 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sour cream. Yields 14-15 large burritos.
