    Baked Oatmeal

    Those who normally don’t care for oatmeal will love this “hearty country breakfast cake,” writes Rhoda.

    Make it even more convenient by mixing it the evening before and refrigerating until morning, she suggests.

    Ingredients

    • ½ cup melted butter
    • 1 cup brown sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 3 cups quick oats
    • 2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 apple, chopped
    • ¼ cup raisins
    • Cinnamon to taste

    Directions

    Mix the first seven ingredients together well. Add chopped apple and raisins. Spread in greased 9x13 pan or individual-sized baking dishes and sprinkle cinnamon over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Serve warm.
