Built to go the distance on long workdays, Carhartt® Men's Sandstone Insulated Active Jacket is constructed with rugged 12 oz., 100% cotton sandstone duck. The body and hood are lined in quilted flannel, and the sleeves are lined in quilted nylon. For comfort and convenience, there are two inside pockets as well as two deep hand-warmer pockets.

I got this jacket right before I started college in 2004. I had heard of Carhartt, but had never used any of their products before. To say the least, I was impressed. I have used this jacket every winter since, and it never let me down. I have been hunting with it, worked outdoors, put it through some tough tests, and it never failed. The durability is unrivaled. I recently got a new coat, one without a hood, and am giving the J130 to a friend. Carhartt is the only brand I trust now for durable, long lasting clothes. Im a big guy, 6' and 300lbs., so the big and tall selections are nice too. I own many carhartt products, and they are all top quality.

The J130 is a very warm jacket that is generously sized. This jacket has Carhartt's flannel quilt lining which is among their warmest lining it is comfortable and doesn't inhibit movement. The attached hood is warm and well-made. The front hand warmer pockets are unlined.
My complaints with this jacket are fit related as someone of average height with a bit of a gut. The sleeves are too long for size (by about 2 inches in a Large Regular). I wear a 33 inch arm length dress shirt and the sleeves on a large covered the knit cuffs that are not supposed to be hidden on this style, would expect this on a Tall size but not a Regular size) and the back of the jacket is a bit too roomy for me bunches out. I personally prefer the fit of Carhartt jackets and coats with bi-swing backs and pleated elbows they are more true to size. I tried a smaller size than I would usually buy and it was a bit tight in the mid-section. From my experience with Carhartt products the J130 runs large for size, you may want to try this one on before buying it.
