I have lived in Ohio all my 47 years. That is 47 years of sometimes frigid early morning tough winters that cut through clothing easily and chill you right to the bone. Shivering and shaking can be common while cleaning snow off the truck and waiting for the truck to warm up, or working outside doing chores, or just taking the dog to do his/her morning business. Buy a Carhartt jacket or coat and experience how warm you can stay. I purchased their Duck Active jacket...which has fairly lightweight insulation, and so far in 2010 we have had temperaturers below 10 degrees F, without the windchill factor, and I was outside Snow blowing the driveway and did not get cold. I have not been chilled, shivered, or shaked at all this winter while wearing my new Carhartt jacket. Imagine what their coats are like! This is the way good clothing should be made. Carhartt jackets and coats are worth every penny. This is what good clothing is.

Great Durable Coat
Date:January 23, 2012
This coat is great. My first lasted through 4 years of hard use in overgrown agricultural fields and secondary growth forest overrun with briers and wild rose. Although the coat is a little stiff when forst purchased, this is an asset. Never once did the coat rip or tear and after a couple of weeks it break in nicely. I'm only replacing now since the weld on the zipper has given out and I've never been satisfied with the results of replacing a zipper. I imagine I'll never even consider a different fall-winter-early spring work coat.
