Overall, pretty good

I've now owned four of these Scepter cans, as well as many others from different companies. They are reasonably priced. I find the plastic material in the Scepter cans to be a bit heavier and sturdier than the average, which is good. Also, the shape of these cans is good, being just about square on the bottom and not too tall, so they are fairly stable even sitting on a slope or uneven ground.
As with other reviewers, I found the spout to be difficult -- with a full can (about 40 pounds) it can be hard to hold the can and also operate the CARB-compliant mechanism, and I experienced some slight spills, For others this may be a deal-breaker, but for me it hasn't been a major problem. I've learned to set the can on a platform or shelf higher than the equipment to be fueled, take off the can's spout, and use a siphon to transfer fuel.

Different Technoligy same Ol'Trouble

I'm not happy with this can. Once you get it figured out. You must push the nozzle against what ever you intend to fill. My first attempt was -fill the new generator. There is a small "knub" on the spout, that knub goes up against what you want to fill, well the fill neck on the generator has a rounded edge and when the little "knub" slipped off the rim of the generator neck the gas can spout went down into the generator fuel tank going right through the filter-screen. Now the generator needs fixing...and it has never been started. Now I know what to expect and what items Not to use this Gas Can on. Recommend but with caution.

The plastic cans leak because its plastic which means if you fill your tools the paint is at risk of premature abuse. If you are in a Amish wood built barn with wooden floors that's not so good either. They can leak. Be careful. Would I recommend this product? If its the best you have among choices. Maybe they will bring back a good real gas can. Some day

Nice gas can but...

I really like the consept of the new valve that Blitz is now adding to the gas cans. It features a switch you have to push back before you open the valve. When you release the valve the switch automatically resets. If you should have to reposition the can this saftey switch makes the can very hard to handle because with 5 gallons of gas it gets pretty heavy since a full can will weigh about 40 pounds. The valve is slow to drain the gas so chances of having to reposition the can is very very likely. Before you buy a can remove the lid and make sure that the white plastic flexible tube has not fell off in the can. It is nearly impossible to get out if it has fallen off.
