This Permatex High-Temperature Thread Sealant is OEM specified. The Permatex threadlocker sealant locks and seals threaded fittings and resists leakage, vibration loosening, moisture, hydraulic fluids and diesel fuels. Like the best threadlockers, it lubricates threads for easy assembly and disassembly and won't shred or wear like Teflon tape. Parts may be repositioned up to 4 hours after application. It offers a temperature range between -65 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit (-54 and 204 degrees Celsius) and contains PTFE.

Q: Does this work for Natural gas

  • A: Hello! Permatex Thread Sealant seals threaded metal fittings on hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel and cooling systems. It is not recommended for use on rubber or plastic.

Q: Can this be used as thread blocker and gasket adhesive

    A: It will seal the threads of the application very well and block any fluids attempting to escape. It should never be used in any gasketing application for any reason.

    Great product

    Worked great for my need. Converted my Blackstone griddle from propane to natural gas and needed to install new eyelets for the gas. Don’t forget to knead before using as it’s a bit runny without this step.

    No, I do not recommend this product.
