I bought this grinder to use it on my horse trailer that I am re-painting. I really liked the handle positions and the feel of it. I started using it and it just stoped working in about one min of use. I figured I just blew the breaker, no such luck. The grinder was dead in the water. I then was told that it has been discontinued. I think I am just going to get the DeWalt 4 1/2 with the 7 amp motor.

Bought this Grinder today. Used it a little while. Seemed to have good power. Was blowing pretty warm through the motor cooling ports, but had no shorting or bad motor smell so I think thats normal. What got me was a factory defect in the gearbox casting. A small crack ( for lack of a better term.) in the gearbox bracing. Slighty bad or incomplete casting pour. I will take it back tomorrow and switch it for another of the same model. I still think it will make a good grinder.
