I have never owned a multi-tool before and couldn't bring myself to spend the high prices for a Leatherman. I wanted something durable, yet affordable, and that's exactly what the Gerber Suspension brought to the table. I have a medium sized pocket knife I keep around but it didn't always seem to do everything I needed. After researching multi-tools on numerous websites, I settled on this one.
In just the first week of owning it, I've used practically every attachment, with the exception of the lanyard ring. The spring assisted pliers are easy to use, the knife blade is razor sharp, and the flathead screwdriver bits have come in handy for multiple applications. The downsides are the can/bottle opener lacking a solid grip to open a bottle. The scissors are also small and could only be used for cutting through small plastics.
The stainless steel construction and and skeletonized frame make this tool both sturdy and accessible. Other than a few minor issues, this multi-tool will be perfect for daily use.
