Good concept but poor manufacturing

I have broken the tip (1 1/2 inches) off of 2 of these in the last 2 weeks. The wedge works very well to start splitting however it has problems with large pieces of wood (24-36 inch diameter). The Truper rep that I spoke with was very friendly and their customer support is excellent.

Splits really well

This wedge does a great job splitting. The fact that it comes to a point makes all the difference and makes it possible to start it in any size chunk of wood. I also purchased a standard 5 lb. wedge and there were several chunks in which I could not easily get that wedge started, but this wedge was really easy.

Wood Grenade wood splitting wedge

Works well. It is easier than a traditional wedge ( which requires a saw kerf or holding it until it is in far enough.) I purchased 2 weeks ago and have split almost 6 cords of wood with it.
