This was so easy to use. I ran a chain through it to use instead of a come-a-long. I used my tractor to streatch the wire. The only thing you have to beware of is how tight you stretch the wire. The puller did not slip at all, but wire will snap if you pull to tight. This is a definate buy if you are putting up barb or barbless wire. I used the barbless.

Made my choice based on other reveiws and simplicity of product photo. It not only works great, but is handy to and on the job site where larger wire stretchers would be complex and heavy. Also, gets into tight areas that would not be accessable to the larger ratchet tools. The sales person was a big help with my questions and purchase. Again, a great tool for the $$$.

I have two of these, and they work great with barbed wire fencing, stretching or to tighten the wire.

Great item, very handy, simple and easy to use easily carried. I bid on a job on FedBizOps to build deer fences in the Alegehny National Forest in Northern Pennsylvania. I used this item extensivly in conjunction with a web belt come along ( also a Tractor Supply tool) ) to stretch 6 ft woven wire to build 10 miles of enclosure. It all had to be built by hand without any power equipment. This item was invaluable in completing the job.
