Good - Not Great

Bought this new a few days ago. Got the electric hooked up and got it leveled and bolted to floor. Could not find the break-in procedure in the manual, so I called IR and they said to run it 15 minute with no load. Two problems when running - the oil was milky/foam and the belt had a lot of play. After talking with IR tech service they said it was water/condensation in the oil. Had to change the oil 4 times to finally get all the water out and get the oil to look normal thru the sight glass. Finally was able to get the motor/pulley properly aligned and tightened per the manual - works fine now. Phone conversations with IR tech service - easy to get thru to someone, knew the product, and very helpful. Disappointed with having the two problems and spending money on the expensive oil plus the time and aggrevation. These problems were from initial startup and that simply should not happen. I bought the TSC 4 year warranty - so hopefully I will be covered if there are any future problems. This is the low end IR compressor and will probably be great for my hobby use and last a long time. However, if I were buying for everyday business use I would get something with a better motor and features. I knew the problems this model has had from looking at the reviews on the internet before I bought it. Its a big compressor that can handle just about everything for fixing and painting a car - at a great price. Buy the warranty! It still cheaper than others. Hope this helps someone.

I am very pleased with the compressor. It is very quiet and handles whatever I can throw at it. As far as the previous reviewer you said less than a year wich puts it under warranty. Thanks Tractor Supply!

When we was looking for an air compressor we wanted one that would be able to deliver enough air for any of the projects that we might use it for from painting a car to keeping the grass blown off the mower deck after we were done mowing. I must say that it has done everything that we have used it for. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice size air compressor.
