Birds won't touch it
Date:May 15, 2012
Have had this filled with niiiger seed for over a year. I have changed seeds / brands and the birds won't touch this feeder. They seem to always prefer the sock. I have placed this feeder right next to he sock and they still will not touch this feeder.

Great feeder but not large enough
Date:January 21, 2012
Nice made feeder.. just like the others by this manufacturer..outstanding durable and well made.. this screen feeder however could have two things differently done.. 1. it is on the small side.. requires filling for me in SE Wisconsin at least 3-4 x a week. 2. secondly the bottom tray is too small.. much of the feed , even whole seeds drop to the porch. The same goes for the roof.. far too small to shelter the feeder from rain and snow.. due to length I guess. All and all like the feeder..as long as you are close to it and are able to fill it in harsh weather you should be fine. Mine is crowded with birds almost at all times. Note too..once the feeder is low.. is very limited space for them to feed.. and they fight allot of the time to get to the small area of seed.

The chickadees really zoom in on this one!
Date:August 28, 2010
Both perching birds (purple finches, goldfinches) and clinging birds (chickadees, nuthatches) fight each other for their place on this feeder. We're constantly amazed--and amused--by the diversity of birds we see at this simple feeder.

Good product for the price
Date:February 4, 2010
Our last bird feeder didn't even make it a year before it fell appart. This one is constructed much better and I expect the birds will enjoy it for years to come.
