the cage has the pull out tray at the bottom. i have a part of a tablecloth over most of the cage but left a corner with just the wire. that is where the i am training the rabbit to go to the bathroom. it will go straight into the newspaper lined tray that i just have to change the newspaper and clean i out every couple of days. the rabbit doesn't sit in his own filth. if he goes on my tablecloth covering i can easily wipe it off. the cage is fairly sturdy and at the moment very large for my baby mini rex. it comes with the food bowl which is fine for the rabbit now but i may need to replace later because it isn't heavy and could easily be knocked over. the water bottle is fine but it has a very thin flimsy piece of wire holding it. the bedding is very soft. he loves the food and hay. he also loves the treat it came with. it's long lasting too. he nibbles on it or a long time. the salt thing doesn't come with antthing to hang it up so i put it on the metal part of the toy so he has to reach up to lick it. he hasn't realy played with the toy yet though. in general it is a really nice cage for 1 or maybe 2 rabbits.

I bought this starter cage for my Bunnie and it really is working out great. I dont know who likes it more...me or the bunnie lol

This seemed like a great buy for something quick, because it comes with everything that you need to get started. The problem is that the way it's made; the urine has ended up not staying in the bottom. Cages should be made with the bottoms bigger, so the rabbits can't urinate beyond the cage.

This is an excellent starter cage for anyone to use!! I purchased this cage for my Holland Lop, and she loves it! It's so roomy for her and easy to clean. It comes with all the necessities for starting care for a rabbit. I highly recommend this set! Also, the wire hanger for the water bottle is INSIDE of the water bottle.
