Pit bull tough

Our pit bull boxer mix is capable of basically destroying anything. The nylabones that are supposed to last for weeks lasted him 6 hours. I was worried we might never find anything for him to chew on during his puppy/teething phase, that is until I bought the 8" pup treads. Oh my gosh, the thing is indestructible. I'd hate to meet the dog of the previous reviewer- because Louie (our pup) is one tough cookie and this has lasted him two weeks so far. The only signs of wear are some faint teeth marks and it is slightly more pliable than when I brought it home. It was really rigid and now it's more bendy. But he LOVES it and we put it in his crate with him during the day. It also helps that it's water proof for when he does have accidents in the crate we can just rinse it off. With his rope toys before they would absorb the urine and stink. But not pup treads! As he gets bigger we'll definitely get him the larger version- this is a toy for life.

for weaker jaws

My dog received this as a gift and we thought we would be in luck as far as a "nearly indestructable toy." She had this destroyed in a matter of 2 hours. She is an American Staffordshire Terrier and her jaws are too strong for her own good. This is a great toy for most any chewer though, but as with any toy, you just have to keep an eye on the dog.
