It's one thing to talk innovation - it's another to back it up. Cub Cadet has been backing it up for decades. How? By building riding tractors, utility vehicles, and commercial mowers that work harder and perform better than anything else. Cub Cadet is committed to moving outdoor power equipment forward. The world around us is constantly advancing. Shouldn't the machines we use to care for it advance too?

The goods: Price. Starts easy. Quiet. Easy to put together. The bads: Heavy. Bogs down in grass over one foot. And the real kicker (I read this on a few other sites about this trimmer but thought I would give it a shot) IT GETS TO HOT AND SHUTS DOWN AFTER 20 MIN! This happen to me 3 different times using this trimmer. I have less than a half ac and only take me 25 to 30 min to trim the whole thing each week. It shuts down and you have to wait for it to cool off till you can run it again. Who wants to deal with that each time?? I will say TSC took it back with not a question asked and they where awesome about it. i will not reccomend this product to anyone. Waste of my time and $.
I bought this to replace a Home-lite that died after just four years, I was going to buy a Weed Wacker but when I compared the two Cub Cadet won hands down. It starts first time runs like a charm, does the job well. I do like the fact that when I run it at idol the trim head stops, a great feature. I would highly recommended this product.

Im impressed for the price. Runs fine, plenty of power, fuel tank is big enough, was easy to assemble.Started right off...READ the instructions.
Now the issues i did have: 1) The hang tag says 3 year limited warranty..the manual says 2. (?) 2) Copy the serial numer RIGHT AWAY for warranty registration..mine became unreadable the first time i wiped it clean after use.
Neither is a big issue for me.
Also. i only use regular, non-ethanol gas to mix in my stuff, personally i think half the problems people have with small engines is directly related to ethanol gas.
