It's one thing to talk innovation - it's another to back it up. Cub Cadet® has been backing it up for decades. How? By building riding tractors, utility vehicles, and commercial mowers that work harder and perform better than anything else. Cub Cadet® is committed to moving outdoor power equipment forward. The world around us is constantly advancing. Shouldn't the machines we use to care for it advance too?

Easily starts when following instructions. String trimmer head works great in grass and brush, using minimal string. Brushcutter head is too small and is easily overpowered by the 4 cycle engine. Engine has great power. The only issue I had is with the included shoulder strap... The safety hasp broke on the metal clip the first day but is still usable.

Strong Motor, weak everything else

Purchased this unit for the brush cutter. I have a large area to clear with both grasses and saplings. The unit is hard to start and you better let it run on the #2 setting for a minute. Once warmed up, it runs pretty good. Mowed through saplings pretty well. the engine has decent torque. That's where the good ends. The frame and shaft does not equal the torque in the engine. The pin which lock the two parts of the shaft together also keeps the bottom portion from spinning. The pin broke and the blade end spun 90 degrees. Keep in mind this is after 4 hours of operations. The trimmer unit is solid.
I would recommend a solid shaft and this would be a good unit.

Way to hard to start

This trimmer I got 2 weeks ago and it is a BEAR to start. It takes at least 20 pulls to get it to start. and you have to push the primer botton at least 10 to 15 times. I thaught the Cub Cadet would be a good trimmer but was let down with there quality. I am going to take this back and retiurn it for a better and more relibale trimmer. I gave this trimmer 2 stars only for the looks of it. Quality of it is junk.
