Pretty Good Mower
Date:May 24, 2012
I bought my Swisher in 2005, so it's seen quite a bit of use. I pull it behind my Honda Foreman 450 ATV. I bought this because my yard has some really steep slopes to it and I wanted the added security of being on an ATV as opposed to a riding mower. Pulling the Swisher up the hills can be taxing on the ATV at times, but it's still working.
The mower is pretty well built. I've had to replace the belts a few times (and they can be a little pricey). I've also had to replace a pulley bearing. These are normal wear items that probably would have lasted longer had I not tried to move grass that was too high or too thick. Mowing thick grass that is 6" to 7" tall down to about 2" is hard on any mower.
The biggest issue I have with it is that, when coupled with an ATV, it is quite long (probably 13' overall length of my rig) and not all that maneuverable. You have to think about what you're mowing to make sure you don't get yourself in a tight spot. But I've been mowing my yard with this rig for about 7 years now, so I know how to do it.
Overall, a good purchase.

T14560 model-just for short grass mowing
Date:May 17, 2012
I have 5 acres , 3 of which i use as a runway for my powered parachute i fly.Its flat , rectangle like a football field,1w x 3L acres long.It took too long to mow with my 48" cut mower so i thought this might be the best way to go.Ist off when i got it in march of '11, i didn't realize it was a may 2009 model and had sat for 2 years.Only the muffler and some bolts showed rust.It was shipped to my local TSC from another store that year as they were sold out last year of that model when i checked.I took a chance that the mower wouldn't have problems sitting that long without being started and it seem to have a additive in the gas to keep it from gumming up.That year ('11)we had a drought and only used it twice.1st time the front height adjustment handle vibrated off,ran over it making it useless.A new one is $30+ shipping when i last checked. 2nd time i used it, the blade engagement handle would vibrate so bad it would disengage alot.Gas tank shakes bad too but i noticed the newer models are mounted different so maybe they fixed that.
This year, the 3rd time i used it,the belt burned up that goes from the motor to the deck.Part# 6046,$20 at TSC.
It doesn't cut very well even tho i'm not cutting tall grass.Going slow doesn't seem to help.I looked at the blades and they didn't seem dull. You have to remove 3 bolts to get off each blade! It's too under powered and needs a twin cylinder motor tho i must admit, the single cylinder motor is good on gas usage. I never could get the mower arm adjustment right when cutting with my riding lawn mower as it leaves uncut grass when turning. I have the arm all the way in on length and overlapping my riding mower cut so i don't get the 108" cut i was hoping for.

It does the job but leaves a little to be desired
Date:June 2, 2011
We're on our second Trailmower now and they do the trick but as one reviewer says, it's a finish mower. It can take on tall grass but leave the scrub for the bush hog. Our first one threw the belt quite often and I had to adjust the tensioner more than once over the two years of our initial purchase. I have only one complaint for the newest which we haven't used yet. I forgot they sell this unit without a battery. Seriously?!?! An electric start mower without a battery?!? Wait 'til the auto manufacturers get wind of this. Anyhoo... it does the trick on yards but leave the brush to the hog.

The best purchase ever
Date:September 4, 2010
We have had this trail mower for ten years, and have never had any repairs except to sharpen the blades. It has cut our mowing time at least in half when we pull it behind our tractor mower. Only regret is we didn't buy it sooner.
