Poulan Pro 5020
Date:January 27, 2012
I was impressed with the ruggedness of the motor casing on this saw, really beefy - should be able to dish out some real work. I filled the oil and fuel tanks and the engine fired right up just as described bt the instructions. Quickly removed a 20 foot cedar from my yard, delimbed, and cut the trunk up for fire wood. I would buy this saw again - really trouble free for the novice.

I owned a poulan predator saw for 5 years. It finally died. I bought this saw because I needed a larger saw and wanted a semi pro saw. this saw cuts like a beast. I cut a 20 inch oak that has been down for 3 years. The wood is dry and hard. the saw eat through it like it was soft pine.

great saw for big wood
Date:August 20, 2010
If you are looking for a chainsaw that can stand up to big wood this chainsaw is the one. After using this saw for one year I have found that this saw rips through logs that are too big for most saws. This saw will rip through large diameter logs up to twenty inch's in one minute or less. And you do not have to cut twice to get through each side of a big log. One cut and you're done. I would say dollar for dollar this saw is the best value of any big saws out there. For $199 you get a saw that can handle those huge logs with ease and safety. This saw is not good for small logs because of the size of the bar and chain, but you definately want to grab it for the big ones.
