This is the best saw I have ever used. Cutting wood on farm a couple of weeks ago and I was cutting three times as much as my helper who was using my other saw (different brand).
Have used many different brands of saws and I believe this to be the best one for the money.

Starts and runs good. Cuts good. I had a problem with debris being forced between blade and teflon guide on cover. Unclear if this will happen again.

A Standard Among Saws

I purchased the 445 after having used a 455 Rancher for a while and being so impressed that I had to have its little brother too. The 445 is perfect for light felling, trimming and limbing fell trees. I got the 16 inch bar on mine and was glad for its intended purpose (weight and manuverability demands) but some friends have the 18 inch bar on theirs and power is no problem for them either. It starts great hot or cold, handles like an extension of my arms and just feels right in my hands while I'm working. I am so happy I have found Husqvarna saws, my only regret is that these 2 saws will probably outlast me at my age and I won't get to buy another one in my lifetime.
