husky 35 ton log splitter
Date:October 2, 2011
I recently purchased a brand new 35 ton husky log splitter, got tired of having to go to the equipment rental place to rent a splitter, so any way this machine is awesome runs good, strong, i've put the biggest pieces of wood i could find and it didn't bog down or shut off, the wood ive split is all different kinds of oak, cedar, maple, gum, blackjack, hickory, apple, even live oak and it didn't strungle, the only complaint that i have is that the store didn't put enough hydrolic fluid into the machine and that i was forced to spend more money to add to the fluid level myself. be sure to tighten all hose clamps before starting the assembler did not tighten mine enough, and if best don't tow behind a.t.v or lawn mower as it tilts it so much forward that the hydrolic fluid leaks out of the holding tank

Well designed splitter
Date:November 16, 2010
This 35 ton splitter does exactly what I had hoped. I waited to buy this until I had about 15 cords of wood to split and used it hard. Splitting some knarly hickory and oak, it would stop, kick in the 2nd stage, and keep pounding away. The motor started on the second pull, is fairly quiet, and does pretty well on fuel usage. When I used it on ash that splits easy, I ran it at half throttle and really saved on fuel. There are some cons: First, if you are not traveling on the road, you might want to take off the plastic fenders,I think you would eventually break them. Second, be prepared to make something to enlarge the area around the plate when used in the vertical position, 24" or larger pieces need a nice level area to split well.

35 ton log splitter
Date:November 4, 2010
I bought the 35 ton log splitter because I tried the 22 ton after reading all the reviews on how strong it was. I got some Gum that the 22 ton splitter could not ever split. The 22 ton is alright for some wood. But not for all. The 35 ton truly has split everything I have thrown at it. My expectations of the 22 ton was more than it could really perform. Also the auto return stopped working after 1 week of using it. So take it from me. The 35 ton is a way better machine. It can truly split about most any wood at 1/2 to 3/4 idle. Then if you do get that really tough piece, all you have to do is crank it on up! It will certainly have no issue. Does use a little more gas.. Also a little more heavier to move around. But I love it! That big B&S does the job....
