Great product

I bought 2 of these tanks about 9 years ago. I needed 1 for each pasture. I have 5 horses and I am just now replacing them. The tanks are easy to maintain, clean up beautifully, and even in the hottest weather, keep the water clean and cool. I use a little bleach & water to super clean the tanks about every 2 or 3 weeks. It kills any bacteria lurking on the sides. The galvanized tank reflects the sun instead of absorbing it like the black rubber tanks. I don't know too many livestock products that hold up this well after 9 years of use and abuse. When the water runs low, the horses bang on the tank, knock it over and kick it around until I fill it. The seals are finally giving up the ghost (probably due to the bleach), but after 9 years, I have no complaints, only amazed they lasted this long.

A good tank

I purchased one of these tanks about a year ago to replace a cracked/leaking Rubbermaid 100 gallon tank. So far so good, no leaks or rust and it's very sturdy. Plus it seems to stay cleaner than the black Rubbermaid tank it replaced, meaning less maintenance for me, which is GOOD!

Useful for plantings

We saw tanks like this used as planters at a Chilis restaurant, so we decided to do the same. We bought this tank then contacted the company about how much dirt we'd need to fill it: 11 cubic feet. Actually I think we needed more. Anyway, it is now home to a cacti and succulent garden. We'd like to get another one, 2 x 1 x 4 for more cactus and also to give some variety in size. We'll paint it in the spring when the weather stays warm.

Nice water tank
Date:August 19, 2010
I have 3 sizes of horses (mini, pony, and regular size), and 2 large dogs that use this tank. We attached an automatic water fill unit to it, and it is just perfect It is easy to clean because of its size, too. We put it up off of the ground on blocks, and we have had it several years with no signs of rust
