Doing the job
Date:January 3, 2010
We purchased this for use in our 1500 gallon Koi pond. We are having a long stretch of temps near 0 at night and only in the teens during the day. We were affraid that if the ice on the pond became 6 or mor inches thick at the skimmer/filter, that it would block the inlet flow of water. We placed the heater just in front of the skimmer submerged only about 3 to 4 inches. It is doing the job perfectly.

Best Tank Heater
Date:September 8, 2011
I have used these tank heaters for more than 11 years and they are the best. I have tried other heaters and they do not withstand the elements and last less than a year. I have gotten at least 2 yrs out of each one and I have 10 tanks with heaters in them. Our tanks are at least 80 gal and some are 108 gal.

Wonderful product!!
Date:February 25, 2011
This is a great product!! I have 2 horses one of which is very inquisitive and it held up wonderfully. The sinking feature made him less tempted every time to mess with it. I like in northern Ohio and it gets cold here and I have never had my tank freeze. I would definitely recommend this product.

Water at last
Date:March 17, 2010
In the midst of our real bad winter, we lost our 2nd tank heater. The poney had pulled out one of our tank heaters last spring and smashed that one, and our 2nd one had just died, It had lived a long and glorious life. Probably 5 years or more, it was just your regular floating tank heater, but it had done the job ,well
So I was looking for one that the ponies wouldn't pull out, and smash again, and would also keep the water open. Although at the time, even though its not really that expensive, I didn't really want to spend that much, but I'm glad I did. The ponies haven't yanked it out of the tank, so far, and it has worked great, maybe even better then the original floater heater, cause it gets the whole thing open, not just a hole.
