Great For Goats

The Double-Tuf Hook Over Goat Trough Feeder is the best feeder I've found for feeding goats. It's extremely tough, yet light weight. The wire grid helps keep more aggressive goats from pushing out their herdmates. The size is ideal; most similar feeders are larger and harder to handle or provide too much volume per linear foot to be used effectively. It's easy to clean, so is a good choice for feeding milk or replacer to kids being raised pan-fed. The flexibility of being able to hang it on almost any type of fence makes the perfect finishing touch. I wouldn't change anything about it, although I have found that when used on a cattle panel, attaching a 2x4 to the panel so the trough hangs over both the wire and wood, makes it harder for the goats to knock it off the fence.

buy more and spread them out

I love this feeder.. though it makes allot of noise unless mounted well and tight. I do suggest that if you have many goats .. buy more than one and spread them out or things get ugly.. cleaning is a breeze and I was surprised that the wire cover held up.

Unfortunately I've missed seeing this in the past and I thought I'd looked at the entire store.
This appears to be a PERFECT trough for goats. It contains just the right volume for its size and provides a much healthier eating environment than troughs/pans/pails on the ground.
As indicated in the instructions, a 2X4 wedge between the trough and the fence makes for a more secure installation and was appropriate for feeding my goats.
At least two more of these troughs will be in my next shopping trip to Tractor Supply. Even the price was very reasonable!

this type of feeder (we bought two) makes feeding our pet goat/lawn mowers easier than ever...no more wasted feed by putting it in containers and they spill it...it stays put on the fence and was easy to install!
